The character development is shallow at best. This is one of the least developed sengoku style manga I've read and the female leads only features are being stupid and being a walking blood bag. Even her character interactions are cheap. You're in a waring states era where the first thing you saw was death and violence and you choose to run around without a bodyguard, a way to protect yourself, or money.
