Last Seven Days
Shion often calls his childhood friend Ibuki "perfect." One day, along with a mysterious voice from Heaven that declared "for being such a good child, we will take him away from this world in seven days," Shion's back blooms with feathers and a ring appears over his head. Ibuki gradually loses his senses and decides to "defile" Shion .... The countdown is seven days until his most important person disappears. What will happen with these two people if they fall in love on the last day? Dude. I loved the twist and the consequences. It’s hella good. I liked the angst and the balance of drama and psychological thought coming into this.
Kanawanu Koi no Musubikata
Kamisawa is in the business of cutting the red string of fate, freeing his clients from people they may be destined to be with. However, the man who was just another client may become... Idk about u but I love red string stories. They fascinate me. Honestly I had really liked this concept and how the characters are throughout this. Albeit, going against fate and wushu washy shit was kind, No really forced but I understood what those to felt the way they felt.
Waterside Night
Typical omegaverse with typical debt ridden MC and brother. The alpha is paying him and well yeah typical toxic shit.
Thirst
Half vampire and A-list celebrity, Ethan Blackwell keeps his vampiric urges at bay by feeding off the energy of his adoring fans. His world unexpectedly takes a turn when he meets up-and-coming star, Tristan Montgomery who poses a threat to his popularity and energy source. Coerced into working with one another on an upcoming film, the two unexpectedly develop a chemistry much stronger than what can be captured on camera. False claims to fame, sex, lies, and hidden identities unfold to jeopardize the livelihood of both stars.. Ethan and Tristan must choose to confront one another or put aside their differences and risk falling deeper into desire This is hot. Like frick it’s soooooo sexy lol. The chemistry and passion between the two main characters are literal fire works and they truly love each other. I like the drama and the stakes and I loved the moment they switched because helll it’s good. There are moments that the story gets a little…. Uh gross but it’s showed the consequences and the turmoil after.
The Man Who Can't Taste
Basically about a food critic and a guy who can’t taste cause of ~trama. This is pretty good so far and I like how the relationships are kind of realistic. The two main characters change eachother for the better and you do understand why and how each of them fell in love. Of course it’s takes a bit for the seme but it happens and the realatiohip is elevated. Also! I find the circumstances between the two end up happening. The uke gets past his own prejudices and works with the seme to write his novel. His descriptions of the food make my mouth savor and it’s sooooo good. The progression and awesome chemistry between the two is literally a slow burn so no hot sex between the two yet lol. Also the uke does have a sex friends s I bet there will ne drama later on with love triangles shit. Ugh I hate love triangles but whatever. Anyway, I don’t really mind that relationship cause well the uke and seme aren’t together yet, and the seme does close ties with his ex wife. Anyway, it’s good and I can’t wait for more.
Yuujou Wo Oeru To Iu Koto
After 4 years, the nerdy megane boy with a bowl cut, who wasn't taken into consideration by his classmates, somehow has begun to stand out and has become popular, finally acknowledged by the other students, despite the fact that his appearance didn't change. So, his popular, easygoing friend, the only one who got close to him in middle school, says: "Before you become everybody else's, please become mine first!!" It’s okay…Not much of an impression to me. The story is cute and straightforward.
Zankoku Na Kami Ga Shihai Suru
Zankoku na Kami ga Shihaisuru portrays the tale of two step-brothers - Jeremy and Ian, as they strive to discover their separate paths towards redemption. Jeremy, a sensitive but outgoing 17 year old, is delighted to hear the news of his neurotic and excitable mother's remarriage to a wealthy British man. However, much to his horror, his sweet-talking new step-father Greg, soon begins to exhibit a disturbing trait...he is a sadistic pedophile and loses no time in making Jeremy his target. Months of horrific, systematic abuse drives Jeremy to desperation; and he sabotages his step-father's car with the hope of eliminating him. The resulting accident, however, kills his mother along with Greg. Jeremy's shocked and guilt-stricken behaviour arouses the suspicions of Greg's free-spirited son, Ian. He unearths enough evidence to tie his step-brother to the crime; but in doing so, also discovers the details of Greg's sexual abuse of Jeremy. Caught in a moral dilemma -- between punishing the criminal and atoning for his father's sins, Ian soon finds himself haunted by lust for Jeremy. Is it lust...or love? He wonders whether he shares his father's proclivities, but finds himself helpless to resist being drawn into a passionate and painful relationship with his step-brother. It’s very disturbing, but a very well-written story. Even though the summary displays this morbid information, going in sort of blind would be a better experience. The pacing is slow but we get to see many character arcs and the changes Jermey has to go through. I have seen yaoi and BL with r*pe, but they usually romantize it and overall never get to display the full trama of this abusive relationship. There are many sex scenes but it’s not really explicit. Instead, sex is sort of drawn in this artistic visual and it sort of visualizes the trama and the moments of each characters emotions. If that truly makes sense. Each character in the story isn’t one dimensional and it is sort of beautiful in that sense. We get to see the whole story with Jeremy meeting that stupid idiot to him experiencing the trama and grief he is put through by his actions. It’s painful and beautiful. Still, it’s exahasting to read because of the length but it fully gets across a story of pain and disgust. It doesn’t romantasize rape, and instead shows the whole picture of how it feels and changes someone. The 1st half is painful but it gets better once Greg is dead. Well sorta. There is a cycle of pain and understanding with the situation. Trama never truly goes away and I liked how this manga portrayed it.
