But even beyond that (maybe) is the fact that this kid is seductive as fuck in a way that you feel like you knew a playboy just like him in high school who was so smooth that you’d almost let him have his way with you simply because you’re not sure if anybody else is going to handle your body quite like that again. But that guy is always a bastard that you regret getting involved with as soon as your temporary sexual desires mellow out. But Haru-kun combines that sexual prowlness with his genuine puppy-dog longing, and it’s pretty fucking hot. Plus the mangaka is amazing at facial expressions. That, combined with good pacing and plot, and I’m hooked. (I could understand some complaints on the whole rape thing- I hear ya, but that’s where I let a little yaoi-ness slide by.)
