A remarkable balance of agony, romance, suspense, drama, and smut, in a historical setting, expertly paced, in a well thought-out structure, keeping you guessing and wanting more. The characters are conceived with such a great level of depth, that it would take a second read to truly grasp how much they change and grow from beginning to end.
