love love love this format of storytelling in romance mangas, especially when the characters are in established relationships. it allows writers and/or artists to showcase the lives of these characters in one or two pages and no matter how random they feel at times these moments still add to the story. going to come out and say i used to hate the best friends to lovers trope because of how boring i found them compared to other romance tropes. but then i realized that AHH there was a beauty in loving someone for years and years and years. i've loved you for so long i can't remember a time that i didn't. wishing we could see more of shima and natsuo. kinda want a doukyuusei treatment but w this format. kinda need to see them apart with shima going to college in the city and natsuo staying in the province for his apprenticeship. wishing we could see more of their lives wayyyyy past high school and even college. PLS!!! thanks
