Hana and the Beast Man
Wow!...I really enjoyed that. When I started reading this I didn't really expect much but what I got was a well thought out and developed story. The character development was A class- loved both leads. Honestly wish there was a sequel- maybe set in the future where beast people and humans now live together but beast people still face discrimination. And the main leads child (preferably a girl) could be the main character. Maybe a high ranking government official still trying to bridge the gap especially as a half-human, half-beast. But if not, the way it ended was bittersweet- it's always difficult to change things but eventually with enough fight and support, it can happen. "I absolutely love this story and how realistically it portrayed the inequality and discrimination of another species."- Defo agree with this comment made by a reveiwer (was edited to make more sense by me). Ahhhhhhh: so I finished reading a similar other story and kept thinking that they were similar. Even the translator hinted at this. I then did some research and discovered that it was a sequel!! I believe it’s based on the male leads son as he has the same surname as the female lead (I don’t think beastmen get surnames). I’ve written more on the sequel comments just didn’t think that in 16 years, nothing would have really changed. Like wow. I was expecting their child to be fighting to get rid of discrimination and not simply being the first beast person to start high school. Maku ga Oritara Bokura wa Tsugai
Up to date: chp.10/12 It wasn't bad. Initially skimmed through it- only reading chps1&6 but went back and read/skimmed every chapter. Really liked the storyline and art work. 09/08/21: Discovered that Volume 1 ended chp.6. And that vol.2 starts from chp.7.
Natsu No Kakera (senkawa Natsumi)
Kabukichou Bad Trip
The concept was interesting. And the BDSM aspect was well done. It was also the first time I've read about someone becoming a host because they wanted to and not because they have a debt to pay. I enjoyed it but the second hand embarrassment that I felt reading this was real and made me cringe a lot. Completed chp.6.5. Completed vol 2 chp 1.
Aien Catharsis
Not bad. It was a good read and at times, funny. The pacing and storyline was also good. Just wished the ending was more satisfying for me. The historical setting was also a pleasant read. Agree with the comment below: "Ryuuji’s decision to not to speak up about the assault for fear of being kicked out and having nowhere to go and blaming himself for taking a position that he felt wasn’t meant for him were so poignant. In this dog-eat-dog world, you really just gotta grab every opportunity you can to survive. Tbh, there will always be someone better than you but when the opportunity presents itself, you just gotta hold on to it and give it your all. You have the right to survive too."
Fuck Buddy
Ore no Tsugai ha Thoroughbread Omega
This was actually a good story. I really enjoyed reading it, though I wish that there was a 2nd volume just coz I love the couple and their relationship (it also would be nice to explore what would happen if the omega became pregnant a few years later- how they would react as individuals and a pair/couple). I was surprised that they decided not to tell the world they were a pair- just imagine the publicity and contracts they would get together, they would be an unstoppable couple. Also defo wish and hope that Natsume and Kota get a spin-off coz their story would also be very interesting. Note: Has untranslated extras. Pretty sure there’s a sequel with the friends. I think it’s being newly released. Saw it on my fb group. Titled: We are less than a pair, but… Just confirmed that it’s indeed the friends story- has the same author name
My Love, Meine Liebe
