Started out so strong, idk what happened towards the end but the author really dropped the ball. Somehow I liked the couple better when they were just friends. There was a great scene where the mc told the ml that he didn’t like the tone of voice he was using and the ml apologized. There was healthy, mature communication. Where did that energy go??? They became so toxic so fast. The sexual assault came out of nowhere and was glossed over almost immediately. Both characters, who were once unique and interesting, just morphed into these heteronormative caricatures. The story kept praising the seme for “holding back” for so long despite almost raping the uke and there was an uncomfortable fixation on the uke’s purity (not the seme of course). The uke became uncharacteristically docile and passive while the seme began acting like he was entitled to sex whenever he wanted just because they started dating. I can’t even list all of the things that gave me the ick. The story was also was not well paced.
