The Emperor's Strategy
Personally enjoy the novel more than the manhua, but the manhua does have its certain charms. Their first meeting in the manhua is wonderful though; really greatly depicted.
Ani No Hanashi
A really important manga; simple and straightforward, but contains a really powerful message. More of a family manga than romance. Love that the use of third person POV. Send me to happy tears! ... anyway not to get too personal but reading a manga where someone stood up for their LGBTQ+ sibling....always sends me to tears. maybe because i know that won't happen to me and i gain some kind of wish-fulfilment pleasure from reading one lmao what wouldnt i do to have that kind of brother.

TW: past r*pe, attempted r*pe (not between main couple), past teen pregnancy, minor discussion of abortion. i...... i am really picky when it comes to a/b/o manga, but i would say this is one of the great ones. the manga discuss some very important issue rarely seen in other a/b/o manga, which i really appreciate. the very real negative consequences a sexual abuse victim often face are portrayed really well here: the trauma, the self-blame, the victim-blaming, the stigma and unfair discrimination, the struggle of being a single parent, the difficulty of getting a good job, the vulnerability of their economic condition. the fact that the sexual abuse perpetrator didn’t face any consequence? it’s a really sad fact, but unfortunately that’s what often happens in real life. another thing that i absolutely love is how the alpha keeps mentioning how strong the omega is; i don’t know, i really love this particular detail. empower sexual abuse victims yall!!! additional important point is how the issue of sexism is brought up here; i was honestly floored when the manga brings up how an alpha is considered “brave” for protecting an omega who just got shamed for being who they are. that’s... that’s a real issue happening between right now, and i’m happy it got addressed. i also rlly love the alpha ML; he’s a real one. the way he emphasis on consent and respecting omega? damn, we need more alpha this type. however, i wouldn’t say that this manga is without flaw. but for all the manga has done, i am willing to give them a pass.
Friend Line
TW: domestic abuse (not between main couple) Simple and straightforward, but really good. The main couple has a very good and healthy relationship. It wasn't anything special; no fateful meeting, no dramatic and cheesy destiny, no nostalgic first love. It was so generic and so /real/. We met someone, we got to know them, and we fell for them. Which is what happens most of the time in real life; life is never as grandeur as fiction, after all. But that's how it is so easy to relate to this manga, because it could have happened to "us". ALSO this manga doesn't have the "I fall in love wiith my saviour" trope and I personally love that!!! OH, and the way they handle domestic abuse here??? I do wish the abusive ex got more repercussion, but I really love how the seme empower the uke and said outright that HE doesn't deserve to be abused. The seme is a really good person. He is kind, supportive, sympathetic, caring, and not-abusive. He respects the uke's decision and opinion; he lets him choose for himself, and is always there to help when needed. He is just... a really good man. Real life could use more men like him tbh!!!
Too Close
really fun so far; the main characters didn't get along at first, but eventually fall in love. in that way, the story is particularly generic. however, i love how the story develops. there is not much misunderstanding or "drama" but instead their getting together does feel natural. love the dynamics between the main characters.
