Koisuru Barairo Tenchou
AAAAAGH this was so adorable and fluffy. Y'all, Koutarou was a former delinquent and a beast in bed and I love that. The gap in his character sure was a bit surprising haha, but I'm not at all disappointed. Tbh wasn't really sure who would bottom, kinda expected it to be Koutarou, but then I didn't mind who was what as time went on because they both seemed like bottoms, yet Isao just had that innocent and submissive charm about him haha, so I'm glad he ended up on the bottom. I also love how no one was jealous of the fact that Koutarou had a (late) wife and instead Isao loved him even more for it. ️️ Y'all Zen was actually really cute too, and Satou made an amazing uncle lol. Idk about anyone else, but I have a feeling things are gonna happen with Satou-san and Zen-kun when they're older ohohoo.
The Mountain Bird Cries at Dawn
This was so funny, I loved the mafia members. Their reactions when Yamoto said he'd marry Yoru and the dad just said "okay" was priceless. The sex scenes were pretty sexy too ngl. I loved the relationship with Yamato and his dad because I love stories with these kind of Yakuza dad's, and I'm glad Yamato got to see his mom again and stayed on good terms with her and her new husband/boyfriend (I forgot which one).
Oni to Tengoku
This was a really interesting story, and I liked it. The first few chapters definitely made me uncomfortable and a bit mad for the lack of consent going on, but it wasn't anything I was surprised about and Aoki sensei was lovable and precious and I wanted to see how things would turn out for him. I'm glad there was some character development with Manabu, although it wasn't a lot :// ESPECIALLY AFTER HE JUST STRAIGHT UP KISSED THAT BLONDE TEACHER. But as long as Aoki sensei is genuinely happy, then we're Gucci. Edit: after reading more (bc when I wrote this I didn't know there'd be more volumes) I can truly say that manabu actually did have quite a bit of character development! Yayy
Kowagaranai de, Soba ni Ite
Y'ALL my heart at the beginning was hurting so much because of all those past memories being shown. I LITERALLY HAD TEARS TRICKLING DOWN MY CHEEKS BECAUSE I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS AGHHH. This is one of the most wholesome yaois I've read in a while, and the art and two main characters were beautiful and amazing. The ending made my heart finally relax and breathe again because of how happy and adorable it was.
On Doorstep
Y'ALL JIMMY IS TOTALLY MY TYPE WTF HE IS SO HOT. But like tbh Reese was also a hottie, especially on chapter 5.5 pg 27. THEY WERE BOTH SEXYYYY. But in all honesty, this was so cute and wholesome I'm glad that Jimmy seriously reflected on what he did and sincerely apologized and even decided to stop his criminal acts altogether. I'm also really glad that Reese allowed himself to love again. I usually don't do age-gaps, but this yaoi is one of my exceptions because of how amazing/precious the art and the characters are heheheh.
Pendulum: Kemonobito Omegaverse
This was a pretty good read. I LOVE HORAN SO MUCH LIKE HE IS SO SWEET. Also, I love the bond that Kai and Daato have with each other. Daato is such amazing and supporting person and is totally a great mom. Not really into the whole full-wolf-body going on here (I prefer a more human-looking form), but they really do be looking like daddies ngl.
Paradise View
This story got me in my feelings for sure. First off, the uncertainty and self-doubt that both the characters were feeling about their relationship and how others view them, it was really realistic, which made it even more emotional. Second off, I'm so glad they ended up happy with each other until the very end. Lastly, THE LAST CHAPTER WAS SO SWEET YET REMINISCENT AND KINDA HEAVY like I was NOT prepared for that kind of an ending. However, even though it was sad and heavy-hearted, I think it was very refreshing because I've never seen a yaoi ending on that kind of sweet and melancholic tone. Some people are saying that the story would be better without it, however if we didn't have it we wouldn't have known that Akabuchi died 20 years earlier, and that Kikuchi stayed in the same town just to stay near his grave in order to stay beside him; it shows that all of their hardships at the beginning of their journey didn't go to waste and proves that they still loved each other to death even after many years and had overcame whatever problems they had experienced in the future. BUT YALL IT SURELY TOOK ME BY SURPRISE AND I HAD TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE. Now my nose is stuffy T_T
Sugar Dog Life
Hahaha this was a cute and fluffy read. The officer was hot, and I liked the uke and his feisty but lovable and lonely personality. So wholesome~ AHHH ONE OF MY FAVORITES
