Dragon's First Crush

Complete | Dunarae | 2000 released

By all objective metrics it's not very good but I still kinda like it. Guess it's my guilty pleasure. The artist seems to have trouble deciding if they're allowed draw nipples though.

Unreachable

Complete | Chung Yang | 2000 released

Pretty much everybody here sucks, and the piece of shit from the start gets with Myles. I honestly would've liked this a good bit if Myles cut out all these toxic people, alas he did not and all those crazy things he's done get brushed under the rug. When you love somebody you should be ready to let them go. What Jimmy felt was obsession.

Don't Leave After School

Complete | LINKSURE | 2000 released

I showed up for the angst, stayed for the drama, and gave it 5 stars for everything else, which isn't the previous two. I only recently started trying chinese webtoons since the ones I tried before weren't very good and I don't regret that decision now. The characters are lovable, the romance adorable, and the comedy golden. I can't praise this enough because of the massive redemption arc it went through in my head. The ending was a little abrupt, but everything was resolved perfectly and I was consistently engaged throughout, which is more than I can say for even many of my favourites. This is one of those cases where I'd like more while at the same time not asking for it since I'm satisfied with the ending. Some extras would be nice though just so I can savour more of Kian's genius/idiocy, as well as their cuteness in general.

Body Electric

Complete | Manman Comics,Dong Ye | 2000 released

I've got but one problem: I can not for the life of me figure out if they're dating or not. They sure act like it, despite there never being something I could classify as a proper confession. My guess is censorship doesn't allow them to say it directly so we just glossed over wherever that was and we're meant to read between the lines a little. They are adorable together though.

Keep Holding On

Complete | Com | 2000 released

The art is beautiful, it's just everything else... I was disappointed tbh. I've seen shorter series that had better pacing and structure, the characters leave a lot to be desired too.

Settia

Complete | Kim Reunel | 2000 released

It feels rushed. I'm a whore for angst so I enjoyed this but it's pretty easy to hate Eunil if you don't. The ending is happy though. I think this would've been a lot better with an extra 10 chapters to spread out the second half of the story.

The Magic Soup

Complete | Tropicalarmpit,Kim peacock | 2019 released

It feels like a fairytale for adults. If you're looking for some BL action this isn't the place. It's pretty interesting though.

Candy Man

Complete | Chanok,Romantic Restaurant | 2019 released

Alright so I ain't gonna lie, this is toxic af. But hear me out. What if we just ignore that this is meant to be a romance for a minute and look at the rest? Pure genius. This is the most hilarious shit I've ever seen. Basically MC made one minor moral mistake (catfishing) and the situation keeps escalating beyond the scope of his wildest imagination. I don't know what's going to happen now, and it may not be as good when they try to brush off Kimin's bipolar tendencies for the sake of BL, but boy did I get my time's worth out of those few chapters. EDIT: I'm starting to wonder if this is a parody. Kyuyeon's started spouting cliche yaoi lines left and right like it's his job, and went from being terrified of Kimin to wanting his attention in 1 chapter.

The Music Box Of Petals

Complete | Nuroo | 2000 released

A bit of a let down. It just gets boring and feels like no progress is being made. The couple doesn't get together until the last chapter so there isn't any pay off to all that build up either...

One Take

Complete | 김쿠키, 애플파이,찰밥 | 2000 released

i thought this would be mediocre and now I'm getting in to it. The mc has some shame while also becoming obsessed ridiculously quickly, so we end up in this contradictory scenario where he's unapologetically fanboying over his (future) man in his head but playing it cool on the outside. I like the dynamic of having one character in love from the start even though being a fan isn't exactly like that. I get the feeling the other dude likes him and is just being really secretive about it though. EDIT: Not sure where they're going with this, suddenly it's a mystery drama... EDIT 2: Just realized this finished but I'm not reading anymore, they don't seem like they'll get together until right at the end.
