A Shoulder to Cry On

Complete | Dongmul | 2000 released

I think I liked it but I forgot to mark it so uh...

Please Throw Me Away

Ongoing | 자은향,채로 | 2019 released

I feel like it could be deserving of 5 stars but there's very little romantic development going on so that's all I can give. EDIT: Forgot to mention they did start dating, but something is still holding the series back and I can't quite put my finger on it.

Unreachable

Complete | Chung Yang | 2000 released

Pretty much everybody here sucks, and the piece of shit from the start gets with Myles. I honestly would've liked this a good bit if Myles cut out all these toxic people, alas he did not and all those crazy things he's done get brushed under the rug. When you love somebody you should be ready to let them go. What Jimmy felt was obsession.

Don't Leave After School

Complete | LINKSURE | 2000 released

I showed up for the angst, stayed for the drama, and gave it 5 stars for everything else, which isn't the previous two. I only recently started trying chinese webtoons since the ones I tried before weren't very good and I don't regret that decision now. The characters are lovable, the romance adorable, and the comedy golden. I can't praise this enough because of the massive redemption arc it went through in my head. The ending was a little abrupt, but everything was resolved perfectly and I was consistently engaged throughout, which is more than I can say for even many of my favourites. This is one of those cases where I'd like more while at the same time not asking for it since I'm satisfied with the ending. Some extras would be nice though just so I can savour more of Kian's genius/idiocy, as well as their cuteness in general.

Sweetheart V5: The Boss Is Too Kind!

Complete | Hua er bao | 2000 released

It was pretty good until it started turning in to a shitfest Yiren can't defend herself from and that bitch Xue what's her face getting off with minimal punishment when she's done enough to be in jail for the next 30 years. I'm biased because I don't like my romance couples having kids though, and Yiren is pregnant now. I'd prefer if she just aborted right now especially since the kid will probably be disabled... EDIT: They keep adding more and more kids I'm out...

Body Electric

Complete | Manman Comics,Dong Ye | 2000 released

I've got but one problem: I can not for the life of me figure out if they're dating or not. They sure act like it, despite there never being something I could classify as a proper confession. My guess is censorship doesn't allow them to say it directly so we just glossed over wherever that was and we're meant to read between the lines a little. They are adorable together though.

Settia

Complete | Kim Reunel | 2000 released

It feels rushed. I'm a whore for angst so I enjoyed this but it's pretty easy to hate Eunil if you don't. The ending is happy though. I think this would've been a lot better with an extra 10 chapters to spread out the second half of the story.

Your Majesty, Please Don't Kill Me Again

Ongoing | 혜용 / 에클레어,하연 | 2019 released

This rating isn't for a romance, but borderline psychological. The FL is traumatized by this mf that killed her entire family for no reason. Still, she sucks up to the ML so that the same thing doesn't happen again. The problems are the small glimpses of humanity she can see in the child version of ML. I'll be honest here, just like her I haven't forgiven him, so I'm interested in how this will go with no shipping involved. I'll be truly surprised if they can pull of a successful redemption arc.

Everything was a Mistake

Ongoing | Guan,Mimba | 2020 released

A lot of people have a problem with the romance here. I was one of those people. At least until that one chapter where Nocton goes from an evil creep to a misunderstood loner. Don't get me wrong, he should have gone around killing everyone he sees, but somehow Duroa changed that. It just doesn't look like it for a good 15 chapters. I have no clue how any of this could reasonably get resolved though so I'm mostly staying to see the mental gymnastics required to fix their relationship. Knowing these shoujo manhwa it'll probably make sense too. EDIT: Dropped. This shit is still going? Ffs Duroa is a total bitch. Get over yourself and hear the poor guy out already! At this point Nocton would be better off forgetting her.

July Found by Chance

Complete | Muryu | 2000 released

It was a 5 star until like the last 5-10 chapters. After that it got kinda confusing and the ending while being happy, doesn't get enough of an explanation to be sure that it's going to stay that way. Number 13 is absolutely adorable, and so is his relationship with Danoh. The story (before it gets weird) is irresistible. I liked the characters as well. The main drawbacks are that I believe it started rushing near the end and one of the chapters on mangago is uploaded wrong, so we're probably missing a key part of the story that helped make sense of everything. Oh yeah there were maybe 5 instances of some top notch comedy thrown in, and somehow they fit perfectly even though this is a drama.
