Don't Leave After School
I showed up for the angst, stayed for the drama, and gave it 5 stars for everything else, which isn't the previous two. I only recently started trying chinese webtoons since the ones I tried before weren't very good and I don't regret that decision now. The characters are lovable, the romance adorable, and the comedy golden. I can't praise this enough because of the massive redemption arc it went through in my head. The ending was a little abrupt, but everything was resolved perfectly and I was consistently engaged throughout, which is more than I can say for even many of my favourites. This is one of those cases where I'd like more while at the same time not asking for it since I'm satisfied with the ending. Some extras would be nice though just so I can savour more of Kian's genius/idiocy, as well as their cuteness in general.
Body Electric
I've got but one problem: I can not for the life of me figure out if they're dating or not. They sure act like it, despite there never being something I could classify as a proper confession. My guess is censorship doesn't allow them to say it directly so we just glossed over wherever that was and we're meant to read between the lines a little. They are adorable together though.
The Lady's Butler
I LOVE YOU LANCELOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!! Ok, now seriously, I think this series is great. I started off annoyed that as usual the main couple refused to just be honest with each other. This ended up not being a big deal because they've already gotten together this early on. Granted the FL hasn't told the ML that she isn't the real Charlotte. You may wonder how this could be anything other than toxic when FL is basically an impostor that took the place of the one the ML actually loves, but trust me this makes perfect sense with context. I usually spoil some things in my reviews but in this case basically everything good about this is in heavy spoiler territory so I'll hold back. In a way it reminds me of Raelina which was one of my favourites. There is one very questionable hinge that the entire plot depends on, which may or may not make sense in the future. In vague terms I can't tell why the "villain" doesn't ignore FL because they already have what they want (more or less). For now it just seems like they say they don't care while they're actively being a snoopy lil bitch and will probably try to destroy everything later out of an inferiority complex or something. EDIT: Suicide was invented as a result of the cliffhanger on ch86.
The Tyrant Husband Has Changed
I mean, they really fly right by the thing that usually takes like 80 chapters in manhwa like this. And by that of course I mean the whole reincarnation reveal and romance build up. Oddly enough I like it this way. It's annoying when couples take ages to get anywhere and won't be honest for seemingly no reason. What makes this stand out more though is that it's actually not as serious as it looks. At least so far it's just been two idiots being cute with a dash of plot to spice things up here and there. EDIT: It's really gone down in quality... EDIT 2: Dropped I can't be bothered
July Found by Chance
It was a 5 star until like the last 5-10 chapters. After that it got kinda confusing and the ending while being happy, doesn't get enough of an explanation to be sure that it's going to stay that way. Number 13 is absolutely adorable, and so is his relationship with Danoh. The story (before it gets weird) is irresistible. I liked the characters as well. The main drawbacks are that I believe it started rushing near the end and one of the chapters on mangago is uploaded wrong, so we're probably missing a key part of the story that helped make sense of everything. Oh yeah there were maybe 5 instances of some top notch comedy thrown in, and somehow they fit perfectly even though this is a drama.
I Choose the Emperor Ending
I can't decide if I wanna rate it 4 or 5 stars so it's like this for now. The structure reminds me a little of "As You Wish, Prince". She went in to the world of the novel that she wrote and even *spoilers*. Comedy is absolutely amazing, as is the FL's personality, it's basically impossible to not love the ML but *spoilers* so I'm waiting to see what it's going to be like later. EDIT: Went down to 3 for the overwhelmingly pushy "feminist" signals. Like ok, I know Rina is OP in more ways than one but you really think she can rule a country? What's wrong with Edward taking the throne with Rina as an aide? Why does she have to make it sound like all the girls would be more successful if their jobs were "manly" like engineering? Cooking and sewing are just as important and shouldn't be treated as lesser on the basis of them being feminine. You don't need to act like a man to be a strong woman.
I Became the Hero's Mom
I'm a dirty hoe thirsting for Hades. I can't help it, he's perfect and totally my type. MC is also cool. She doesn't really have a special power or anything but she can handle herself. I like that she isn't completely useless even though her bloodline is kinda worthless. I just wish she'd fall for Hades and be more honest. EDIT: Another one that just doesn't hit the same way it used to.
Second Lead Complex
FL is a bit dumb but I like her not taking any shit. Wish we could just cut the original ML out of the picture though... Most of the time he just gets in the way or acts depressed since his love is unrequited. FL needs to try harder to get with Hana, girl him turning you down is no excuse to go around with another dude.
The Music Box Of Petals
A bit of a let down. It just gets boring and feels like no progress is being made. The couple doesn't get together until the last chapter so there isn't any pay off to all that build up either...
Beware of the Brothers!
