Heart-aching, everytime you think the pain is over for the main character, it comes right back, but he ends up happy with the love interest. If you wanna be upset or read something to make you bawl for how sad a character's life is then finally feel joy when they get a happy ending, this one's definitely a good read. MAJOR T.W. on this one for themes surrounding rape/abuse/racial and sexual trauma. It takes a while before we get our happy ending sob
