The story is full of plot twists, it really keeps you on your toes ! [SPOILERS] The heroine was reincarnated in her favorite novel as the female lead, Charlotte. In the original story, Charlotte dies at the hand of the man she loves (Leonard) and her servant (Lancelot), who is in love with her and is also a magician, kills himself out of despair. BUT ! The real Charlotte has actually gone through her life (and died) once, and she made a pact with a demon in order to revert back time and reincarnate as the princess (the emperor's sister), making her Leonard's fiancée.The heroine, reincarnated as Charlotte, is thrilled to live with the servant Lancelot because she loves him very much and she wants to prevent his death. But Lancelot, who is actually the master of the magic tower (something that wasn't mentioned in the original novel), realizes that Charlotte isn't Charlotte. He tracks the soul of the real Charlotte which leads him to the demon (Mephisto), who tells Lancelot to give up since Charlotte has volontarily left him behind, showing him the contract she signed as proof. Lancelot is brokenhearted to have been abandonned again (by his parents first, then by his mentor, a dragon named Fatima) and returns to Charlotte's manor, where the heroine greets him. He is surprised by how much she seems to care about him, as if she knew him and loved him deeply ; he stays by her side and as time goes by, finds himself falling for her. He wants to know more about her (her real name for starters) but is afraid that if he tells her he knows about her, she will abandon him too. The heroine has found out that the princess is actually Charlotte, so she is really scared about Lancelot finding out that she isn't the real Charlotte, because she is afraid that he will abandon her to go to the real Charlotte. They eventually confess their feelings to each other, but the heroine is scared that Lancelot could feel hurt when he realizes that it isn't the real Charlotte who is in love with him.

[Spoilers] At the end of the story, we learn that they will be reincarnated together.
