Despite of his efforts Kurihara wasn't able to get the top spot like usual since the start of high school ,ending up with 2nd place & considers the top student ,Kawase Shouya as his rival... No matter how hard Kurihara studies, he can’t seem to take the top spot...Although Kawase & Kurihara had a verbal dispute which made their terms worse ..But soon Kawase can't help but notice Kurihara's daily activities & his deteriorating health which made him worried..Very soon Kawase finds himself getting an urge to protect & stay by Kurihara's side..
