Nii-chan (harada)
This shit hurted man this shit hurt so bad. Both are victims of sexual child exploitation and one decide to continue the cycle to cope with his overall trauma and poor support system. This causes both of them to be,,not the best people in the world. At first you really feel pity for Yui. he’s been assaulted and preyed upon and continues to crave the presence of his predator. One day, he finds himself and a very one-sided and toxic relationship ensues. Later on, we find out the girl Yui is dating has a father that was also a convict. A convict that PREYED ON KEI(Yui’s “Nii-chain”). BAM both were victims. We see photos of Kei being a younger child, loving his “Ojou-San” begging for him to come back and how he loves him. To to leave him and it hurt. It HURT. My sympathy was overwhelming because I could understand how he got there. I could understand how severely damaged his psyche was to do such a thing. It was NOT an excuse but it was a heartbreaking insight. Yui revenge rapes Kei, telling him he’ll love him and if this is how he’ll show Kei too be loved. kei breaks down, Yui breaks down. Kei is then called back home. He is forced, basically raped again by a woman, his mother and the girl trying to convert him back to being straight. They force him to have sex to the point of vomiting every single time. He goes back to Yui, tells him what happens. And they kiss. but it isn’t that amazing. It’s sad. Yui’s gotten a bit more sharper and Kei a bit more vulnerable. They both end up turning to drugs and pills to cope with the fact that they have to keep on hiding their relationship because gay relationships aren’t that accepted and a pass they haven’t moved on from. I am devastated by both characters. Both are not amazing people by any means both are extremely pitiful yet extremely twisted for how far they went and how they coped. I am big sads. Big big big sads. Cycles always hurt me the most, cycles of assault and abuse as a way to cope it really tears your moral compass apart and heart apart because wrong has been done to both of them and nothing justifies the hurt both have done to each other and nothing excuses the things that have happened. It’s always constant pain and hurt. both should have seen a therapist. if Kei was able to get better and more supportive help a proper therapist and acceptance and acknowledgement for what happened to him wasn’t his fault, it could have been avoided and it hurts that if Yui’s parents just fucking talked about it to their child and supported him he might have been less fucked for going back to Kei but they didn’t. they didn’t and their resignment and ending just fucking BLEW MY HEART TO SMITHEREENS. Nothing was excused but the pass hurts regardless and the scars stay. This is not a morally right or amazing story with justice and happy endings. This is devastation with neither getting the happy ending and repercussions they deserve.
