There is too much unsaid and too little spoken for all the characters in this story. The motives of each character are bland and not really covered in-depth(yet). Whereas the FL's background is explored in detail; however, her reaction leaves one very unsatisfied yet it's accurate for a child, who was orphaned, abused mentally & physically by a vicious family, and finally manipulated by a bastard man to do his bidding. In such a background, it's no wonder the FL felt numbed, broken, and dazed throughout her life until the day she died. She never really understood the meaning to love without conditions. Thus, I'm interested in how this story will unfold (after reading the spoilers) because the uncle deserves a fate worse than death, the FL deserves a loving family and the emperor needs a trustworthy queen. So after all the nasty and cruel things are unveiled, how will they all react to one another? Will the uncle fall to his own demise from the very rose that he cultivated for his "younger brother"? Will the FL refuse her past delusions of her beloved uncle and forsake the emperor's true love along with her precious baby? Or will she succumb to the role attached to her beauty? Will the emperor forsake all that is beautiful for his throne and power or willingly walk into the trap designed for him? It leaves for the imagination for all the possible outcomes. Again, I see potential in this story.
