Don't Touch My Tail
Ronan Eugene Roy Mitchell Eben Barren Nyx Sean Azure (Tiger demon king) I love all of the couples. They make me feel fluffy, but there's also a lot of sad sides to their relationships. The constant danger of Eugene trying to take his spirit orb back from Ronan, but that means that Ronan won't be able to walk again- that's such a sad thought. Eventhough Ronan seems fine to give it back because he doesn't want to keep seeing Eugene being in agony over his missing spirit orb, Eugene doesn't want to see Ronan being unable to walk. That's such a sad thought... I think my favourite couple may be Roy and Mitchell tho, they're more honest to one another and care deeply about one another. I quite like Roy, eventhough he seems like a pretend righteous person, maybe one would call a goody two shoes? But he just means well. He just seems like a kind individual to everyone ig. And that's why I think Nyx does secretly like Roy. Honestly I want Nyx and Sean to get together. Hehe, hehe Barren and Eben's story was so bitter sweet. For them to fall in love and First sight, but fated to be enemies due to the clans childish disputes *I guess it's not childish, cus they ARE killing eachothers clansmen. But still* is so sad. But them being willing to erase everything just to live in the woods together. And eventhough they have all their memories wiped, they still managed to find eachother and love eachother. They were destined to be. I'm happy for them. I hope they continue to be happy
Song of Reverberation
Lei Xi/ Lei Lin Qi Chen Ren Kai Anzai Fu Ao/ Yan Ye Zier Wen/ Zier De Key of Reconstruction (unlocking hybrids potential) Song of Reverberation (multiple Lei Lins) Summary: Lei Lin created the Song of Reverberation and the Key of Reconstruction as her life's work. She is, alongside Qi Chen, one of the strongest Axatas in the world. She had infinite potential, and planned to do good with it. The key of Reverberation gives Hybrids (mix of human and Axata) the ability to unlock their potential. Meaning Hybrids always had the potential to use magic, but it's sealed away- and she created the Key of Reconstruction to unlock it, so that she can create a better world where Axatas and Humans can live in harmony without disputes. She was childhood friends with Qi Chen, but never was in love with him- she actually loved Zier Wen. She saw that he was suffering, and wanted to ease his suffering because he's constantly comparing himself to Qi Chen. But because Lei Lin is an orphan, she was taken in by the Qi family (under Qi Chen's insistence), and because she's an orphaned Axata she received a lot of judgement, so she and Qi Chen get engaged to stop harassment. Zier Wen thought he'd lost again to Qi Chen, and lost Lei Lin of all things, so he went against their backs and informed Xiu Gray's family of Lei Lin's experiments, putting her at bigger scrutiny. As a last ditch effort to eradicate the evil people in the world trying to stop her from making a better world, she killed the evil people and used the Song of Reverberation, a magic created by her, to produce multiple versions of herself to further spread positivity, splitting her soul into 60 variants. But Qi Chen gets in the way, and the Song of Reverberation will "kill" her. Because he loved her (not vice versa). But by getting in the way of her magic, it caused the magic to malfunction- and because she thought Qi Chen was also betraying her, like Zier Wen did (the man she loved), her malice shot towards Qi Chen and it became a "curse" on him, eventhough it was simply a failed magic. The 60 souls will find hosts most similar to Lei Lin, whether it be her level of loneliness, bravery or whatnot, even if they dont look like Lei Lin. And each variant will eventually grow to despise Qi Chen. BUT our main character, Lei Xi was never a part of the 60 variants- formally, atleast. He was never formally chosen as a host by Lei Lin, but the soul subconsciously targetted Lei Xi because he has previously saved Yan Ye (who was supposed to be a host), which Lei Lin witnessed and admired his bravery. Eventhough he was never chosen to be a host, he shared the same passion and love for magic that Lei Lin had, making him an 'outlier' in all this. With Lei Lin's soul being separated into 60 pieces, she became a hollow shell with barely any magic left. After her initial outbreak, Qi Chen kidnapped her and imprisoned her for the next 10 years to come before Lei Xi appeared. He was always meant to be the last "Lei Lin" eventhough unintentional, and he was the one able to break the curse with his OWN understanding and passion for magic. Zier Wen finds out that Lei Lin has secretly been conscious for the past 10 years but chose not to talk to him, leaving him angered and fooled, which caused him to break out into his final form, which is a strong Axata compiled of many Axata organs to modify his own strength. The only way to beat him is by releasing Qi Chen of the Song of Reverberation curse, and restoring his full magic potential that has been locked away for 10 years, and that can only be done by sacrificing Lei Xi. Except, Lei Lin sacrificed herself instead, as the creator of the Song of Reverberation. After that, Qi Chen was able to kill Zier Wen, and all the souls returned back to Lei Lin where she was finally put to rest. Opinions: Honestly there were bits that got too confusing and overwhelming, but it's a lovely story in the end.. The message was beautiful- eventhough Lei Lin meant well, she was forever perceived as an evil woman. But I'm glad she finally could rest with the knowledge that Lei Xi was going to continue where she left off... The concept of the Reverberations was so unique, I'm blown away by the complexity of the plot. I love the characters. Lei Xi is so brave and amazing- he cares for all of those around him, eventhough it could sometimes bring him trouble. But he's got a lot of wit and smarts. He was certainly a suitable Lei Lin. Honestly I'm a bit meh about Qi Chen. He wasn't too impressionable to me, compared to the Leis, because he just seemed so passive in whatever. He's just a possessive lover with massive magic abilities, but his personality was pretty passive. Zier Wen is crazy... He says he wanted to protect Zier De, but he was secretly doing all types of shady shit with the Gray family to bring up his own status, just to betray the woman he loved because she wanted to get engaged to someone else. He was planning on ruining her life so that he could imprison her and nobody would care.. but had the audacity to say that Lei Lin betrayed him. Whut??? Classic man trying to blame the woman for his own shortcoming. But honestly I really enjoyed it. Probably won't see myself reading this again because of its denseness and complexity, but it was definitely a good read
Hey, Prince!
Just fun, wholesome, short and sweet. Ray is an idiot but he's secretly really knowledgeable (usually through sheer luck. And I really like how straightforward Lucas is straight from the get go. This is just a bubbly 'fake lovers' to 'real lovers'. I wished there was a little more tho, but what can you not like about a short and sweet story? I wished that Edward and Andrew got together. I feel like they'd be real cute. And maybe Adonis with Rich since they suit eachother so well lol.
Lost in the Cloud
Skylar Ciruss Chan-il Minwoo Ri-in That was such a nice read. It's got a good plot, and shows characters that have a lot of struggles in life, and turn to one another to find solace. I quite like Ciruss, against all odds.. he's a very well-written character, and he's misunderstood.. He's not a bad guy, he's just had a bad upbringing that he believes a lot of things were normal. I think he's quite a good guy, had his upbringing not taught him to be such a conniving guy. He grew up with the knowledge that his father doesn't truly love him, and that he's trying to move on from his wife's death by filling the void with new women- without his son's consent. Simply because he does not care about Ciruss. And the step mother is a gold digger who wants Ciruss out of their lives. That's a horrible environment, especially when he knows they both hate him, but have to continue to live under one roof with such negativity... I'm glad he decided to move out, cus that's certainly a solution. I was just worried that his father would stop him from moving out, or his stepmother, or something. But I'm glad he gradually got better after he moved out. I did want to see what happened with his parents after he moved out tho, because we don't see his stepmother any more after she was nearly strangled to death by Ciruss. She just disappears. I also think that scene with the nanny, where he finds out he's been calling the wrong phone number for YEARS after she left a note saying he could call her if he had any issues.. that was such a significant scene I feel, because it shows that (against his belief) he's got people behind his back, he just needs to look properly.. and that showed, because his highschool friend group with Chan-il showed they all cared about eachother. I love that friend group so much TT~TT I'm glad Ciruss and Skylar found their place in that friend group. All because of Chan-il's sunlight. Honestly Skylar is very meh. He's also seemingly got a lot of trauma, but he doesn't seem to have made it through them like Ciruss did. I started to think Ciruss was the main character. He had no great revelation, he had no character growth really. I wanted to see him face his trauma against his old crush or something, or see him confess that he DID like Chan-il or something. But nothing. He's got a lot of trauma from being rejected by the guy he liked, but he didn't really do much to overcome that- it was always Ciruss that came back to apologize and it was all over. I'm glad that he's there for Ciruss, as someone who he could talk to and wouldn't get special treatment, but that's all he was kinda good for. His character also seemed inconsistent at times, idk how to describe. I just wanted moreee on his side of the story. I loooove Chan-il. He's simply just a good guy. He's a ray of sunshine on two people that had lots of life struggles, and eventhough he wasn't the final solution to their problems, he brought them together so that they could lean on eachother instead; yet he stayed by their sides to let them know they're there... he's kinda victim to all this, but I'm glad he met Ri-in who tells him things as it is. He seems the type to be too timid to truly speak his mind, so someone like Ri-in who speaks very openly and is free-spirited, they make cute match. I still dunno why Ri-in was pissed off with Ciruss for not telling his that him and Chan-il got into a fight when he saw them together. Idk. Maybe it was that nobody told her? Or maybe that he didn't try to absolve the misunderstanding? Idk why she got so pissed but anyway.. I kinda wanted to see how Chan-il and Ri-in are when they're I'm college TT~TT are they still together???? Honestly they kept bringing back characters that seemed insignificant to bring back. Fucking Dongshik just to provoke him to fight? Out of nowhere. The dude Ciruss pushed down the stairs in Elementary? BRO THE ONE PERSON I WANTED TO SEE WAS MINWOO (Skylar's old crush) AND HOW CIRUSS AND SKYLAR WOULD REACT. they kept mentioning that it had only been 2 years since the stuff happened with Skylar, so it was still fresh.. I wanted some development. I wanted growth from Skylar in terms of his own trauma, not just Ciruss'. I'm a bit disappointed in that front.
Monochrome Diary
Yoojoon Jiho I DO like their dynamic. The broken guy, and the naive guy that just wants to love him. But I don't like the way it implies how Jiho even started looking at Yoojoon remotely romantically?? Jiho only started to seek out Yoojoon because he got embarassed because he was played by an older guy by him using the same tactic he does. I don't feel like it truly stemmed from him liking Yoojoon. But who knows. I do love them tho Also, that pedophile ass doctor/teacher should kill himself. Imagine being so genuine about your relationship with a student you become possessive and seek him out. Embarrassing and disgusting
