Work, Fight and Love
Soohan Woo Taeyul Ki Sungjoon Yoon Shihyuk Han The creator of Totally Captivated did it again... a heartwretching story of love so drastic, that if you don't have it, everything falls apart.. I'm kinda sad that Yoon Sungjoon didn't really get a happy ending... he continues to live with a woman that tried to sabotage him, tho she does love him enough to not want him trapped and suffering, while he secretly still loves his male lover.. Tho I don't agree with how he treated Soohan Woo like a naive child who knows nothing, but I guess it worked. They were very cute together, and it's clear from the extra. You kinda question throughout the series whether Sungjoon truly even loved Soohan, but it's later proven that he does, but just has too much riding on the line. Soohan is such a baby.... He has so much trauma from always somehow ending up with straight guys, that when Taeyul Ki rocked up with being mildly homophobic but loving him, he was constantly doubting their relationship and whether it would even last.. but I'm glad Taeyul put aside his own beliefs and loved Soohan well. Kinda mad that Taeyul never brought up that he may have cheated on Soohan (tho he didn't actually sleep with Shihyuk; but he doesn't know that....), just feels like they bypassed that idk.. Taeyul was such a green flag at the start with being so accepting of Soohan, and giving him the love and appreciation he deserves when he had hit such a low... Taeyul managed to pick Soohan back up and shower him with the love that he previously wasted on someone else who didn't appreciate it, and Soohan wanted someone who would openly show affection as did he. But he slowly began to became a slightly tinted green when he locked Soohan up. I know it was to protect him, but they kinda bypassed that he also did that for his previous partner too, unprompted... he clearly has a passed with being a controlling and obsessive boyfriend, and I know it's cute in a manhwa, but it gives a bit of a sour taste in my mouth too that they kinda just said "oop- well he did it cus he wants to protect him", when in actuality it was also because he didn't want Soohan seeing Sungjoon too. He's a murky green flag by the end, but I'm glad they worked out. but either way, it was a cute read. Kinda took a bit long to get to it, but I'm never disappointed when the author is the author of my favourite BL.
Mistake Lover
Zhenhao (Jingeon) Lin Dong Yan (Dongeon) Heeseo Seungwoo It was so frustrating. It was good! But frustrating even until the end. SO BASICALLY Heeseo is actually a very sensitive and self conscious guy, despite seeming like an airhead. He's naturally a lonely guy, so he seeks comfort in others who are nice to him and care for him (me too honestly), so he falls in love with people (usually older) quickly. However he fell in love with Seungwoo, who's younger than him- so when he was temporarily transferred to another branch to help out, he wanted Jingeon to cover for him at his current branch so he doesn't have to leave too soon. And the only way to convince him, is to tell him about a new crush on one of his coworkers- Dongyeon. Jingeon, being a skeptical guy, wanted to check out the new crush to see if they're good for Heeseo because he's been heartbroken before. TURNS OUT the reason why Jingeon is skeptical, is because there's previously been a guy that Heeseo dated, who only stayed with Heeseo because they wanted to eventually get with Jingeon. Heeseo doesn't know that Jingeon knows, so he secretly grew very self conscious of his lovers being introduced to Jingeon, so he decided to set him up with Dongyeon this time, so that when he DOES introduce Seungwoo to him, he'd already be dating someone KNOWING Dongyeon is Jingeon's type. Basically this was all a set up by Heeseo because he wanted to be with Seungwoo, whilst also eliminating the possibility of Jingeon stealing his lover, by acting as cupid for Jingeon and Dongyeon. HOWEVER, I don't know why tf, but Heeseo kept lying about having a crush on Dongyeon TO JINGEON AND SEUNGWOO, and kept threatening them both that he's going to confess. THEN HAS THE AUDACITY TO SAY "IVE GOT TO CONFESS TO A GUY I DONT LIKE LIKE THAT :(" LIKE WTF DO YOU MEAN, NO YOU DONT. YOU DIDNT HAVE TO DO ALL THAT DBAINROQNNRKMQC AHHHH. So yea... Heeseo is frustrating.. and even in the end, when he got with Seungwoo and had yet to come clean to Jingeon about him being messy af, HE DIDNT EVEN END UP DOING IT, Seungwoo had to do it for him, or Jingeon had to apologise for getting with his crush EVENTHOUGH HE NEVER EVEN HAD A CRUSH IN THE FIRST PLACE... and Dongyeon was just blissfully unaware... Also Seungwoo had liked Heeseo for a long time, since they met. But idk why he kept playing with Heeseo. He should have just confessed, but he kept playing silly games to toy with Heeseo. That was also frustrating... then when he knew EVERYTHING after Heeseo told him literally everything about the lie, he had the audacity to tell Jingeon that he was making Heeseo's life harder???? TF. I actually don't like this guy..
Muhyeok and Naui: My Irresistible Neighbor
Naui Muhyeok Maybe it's me personally but I felt it was so dragged out by the end. Maybe I'm just not too fond of manhwas where they have like 60 chapters on how they get on after they start dating, but all they did was have sex. There was no drama, no development. Just a bunch of sex. And usually I wouldn't mind, but I really don't like Naui. So it was a bit of a snore fest near the end there.
Kneel, Your Grace!
Chloe Ambroise Curtis Shamberg I really love the main couple and their dynamic. Their personalities are also so similar, with both being stubborn, but it's funny seeing them butt heads like bros making bets. I love Chloe
One room TA
Jinhyeong Uyun Eunoh I LOVE THEM SO MUCHHHH TT_TT they're so cute. Literally the beat couple. They balance eachother out, and fix eachothers flaws. Jinhyeong is such a complex and broken person, but needed the push from Uyun to get him to think from a new perspective. Someone as loving and outgoing as Uyun helped Jinhyeong to get out of his bubble, and now he has plenty more people to converse with. He's not afraid of being more loose lipped, or acting out because the TAs have proven to still stick with him even if he acts a bit more like himself. I love them so much. It warmed my heart when Jinhyeong confronted his ex and just told her how it is, how broken he was, how he loved her but at the wrong time. He put everything into perspective, made sure she knows he did love her but needed to heal before he could love again, and Uyun was the one to do it. He took accountability and tried to fix it. I love them. This manhwa is also so funny at the weirdest time. You relate so much, and you want to cry, but you get reminded that it's a comedy. But I love themmmm Eunoh is... an interesting guy. He definitely falls in love too easily and quickly. He's a playboy, but like- not with ill intentions? Him liking his father's cousin is crazy.... but he's good friends with Uyun, and it shows he's a good person when he ain't crushing on them. Atleast he didn't try and get in-between Uyun and Jinhyeong when he found out they were dating. He just took it as that, and let it be.
