I felt that I dragged on for so long with some very unnecessary drama in between. It was drama after drama and always began with "but who would have knew this would happen".... but its still good nonetheless. I like the development within the family. I like Roselia but also kinda get annoyed by her because she seems too naive to realise that even if she makes them good, it's the circumstances that make them evil. The novel was written that way, so they aren't just going to have a happy ending like she wished. She managed to avoid her death but they'll still be deemed as villains because that's their role, sadly. But they are so wholesome and adorable. I like jealous Cassius and how he cares and adores Roselia so much. The fact he didn't care for cats but was worried for them and wanted to help Roselia because he didn't want to see her sad was precious. And I like Ein, him and Karina will literally make a God tier couple that have a love hate relationship hahaha.
Tho I still get confused as to how "in the original novel" how the fl and ml are so unlikable. Like I hate Lucas. If he was a literal protag, he would be so dumb and blindsided by hate for the Chade ducal house that he would literally jeopardize everything of the empire just to not admit defeat to them. Sounds like he would be a pussy ass protag. And dumb bitch I cannot remember the name of, oh right Elisha is not how I expected her to be, I highly doubt Ein would ever fight for her love lmao. She seems like a spiteful cunt that can't make her own decisions. There's courageous and then there's foolishness. And she's a damn fool. If she were a kind and free spirited FL but with a strong heart who will stand up to Ein, I would understand. But she would have been such a bland FL if it was in the perspective of the actual novel.
Anyway, someone said the manhua goes downhill from chapter 90, saying they'll forever be deemed villains. The chade family decides to bow down to Lucas and lose their status and everything. That Lucas never learns to not be a dumbass emperor that can make up his own decisions for the good of his own empire, but instead gets blindsided by hatred for the Chades and decides to jeopardize the good of his empire. Which is a bit disappointing to hear but I'll still keep reading.
