Been a long time since i made a long review but here we go, Plot ●(●○) Unexpectedly enjoyable. Chinese literature tend to have lots of drama and tragedy but as they say, life has it own portion of sweetness and bitterness. If you eat all of the sweet, you'll be left with only bitterness. Like it's also hinted at the end, a mortal and immortal love is doomed to a sad end, lucky for us we left while it's still happy. The premise is also interesting. The story is told by these two random characters, which i assume represent the author (the monkey guy) and the girl stuck because of rain (us, readers). The monkey tells the story from third people point of view and it's supposedly "changed a little" from the original. There's so much to dig from here, so it just left me with this incomplete feeling AND ALSO WTF IS WITH THE POLITICS??? HOW CAN YOU LEFT IT THERE?? YEA I KNOW IT'S A LOVE STORY BUT WTHHHH?? THE TRAITOR PRINCE IS GONNA DRIVE THE WHOLE DYNASTY INTO ASH AND WE JUST GONNA IGNORE THAT?? Welp. Conclusion, the plot seems to ignore whatever it sees as unimportant, bcos they only want to tell us the sweet love story of our mcs. It's kinda an open ending which is not something that i enjoy. Character ●○ To be honest, they got a progress in their character a tad bit too late in the story. But it's still decent tho. I just hate this wishywashy emperors that are always seems so easy to be fooled. It's a template emperor in this type of story tho. Art ●●●●● ONCE AGAIN, IT DESERVE 5 STARS ON ITS OWN WTF??? AUTHOR IS UR HANDS ALRIGHT?? HOW IS THE MAGIC DUST HAVEN'T RUN OUT YET?? ARE YOU A DEITY, AUTHOR?? THE RENDER, THE ANATOMY, THE CHARACTERIZATION ALL IS ON POINT. THE VARIANTION, THE DETAIL, THE IMMERSION, ALL IS GOOD, IT'S GODLY. I want to eat and become one with the art. That good.
