Story: 4/10 - Art: 4/10 - Characters: 5.5/10 - Smut: 0/10 I think that this manhwa could’ve turned out a lot better with proper planning but overall it felt very rushed— like the author ran outta ideas but they didn’t want to stop immediately. Maybe it’s just the art but the lack of emotions in Daichi’s face all the time really makes it seem like I’m reading Minjun x Concrete floor (not even a wall sir). So the fact that Daichi kissed him and said “don’t provoke me” makes me confused because there was never really an instance where he was confused with his feelings aside from after Minjun came to him drunk. Sure that could’ve been the start but the fact that they immediately started fucking— shocked me. Like usually (and tbh they should’ve done this) Daichi should’ve began to show more feelings such as blushing because he begins to realise his feelings for Jun. I understand he’s supposed to be a tough yakuza, but they can still have emotions. Plus it makes the character more real and likeable if he’s like almost ‘fawning’ over Jun— almost like a he fell harder scenario. But ofc it is rushed so… There are also a lot of plot holes. Not only the romance between them but also characters and ideas mentioned. Like the nursing course? I get that he’s supposed to be basically trapped inside the house, but couldn’t they have made it so Minjun calls up the school or something? Maybe it’s related to his ex, or maybe I just didn’t read the beginning chapters well enough to remember. I also wish that they used the fact that he goes to Tokyo University more. Not specifically the fact he goes to uni but just the fact that he’s really smart. I feel like he would’ve had such a stronger character/personality rather than just this guy who really loves Toma who does nursing. It would’ve been great to see this aloof and carefree looking guy get really smart and serious at times. And similarly it would’ve also been nice to see a switch in emotions with Daichi like I said. Then there’s also the thing with Kuboto, he was here for a couple of chapters, showed that he had some interest to Jun and then he just disappeared outta nowhere. The translators really tried to fix the plot hole by assuming Daichi “took care” of him because he found out about the kiss but I really doubt that was the case, plus it would just be another plot hole because they kissed before they even became a couple… this could’ve also been a good story line if (eg) Kuboto realises that he couldn’t never get Jun and so he gives up, finds a new guy etc… like just so much wasted potential for a good story. Also idk if I wanted a longer scene/chapter of Jun getting kidnapped n then there being a whole arc where he ends up getting saved by Daichi or I’m glad that it was only a few panels cos I want the manhwa to be over.. Another red flag was just the lack of preparation and also consent at times. It really put me off. I like smut but this manga didn’t need it and I skipped past the scenes so much after their first couple of times cos they really just start going at it at the most random times when they need to make up. Like just talk..Their prep is literally one second of a rimjob. And in general Jun always says it hurts but Daichi fr just gaslights him and says that he’s always gentle. ALSO CHAPTER 20 looked like he was fucking a sleeping man
