This was really well written and pretty profound. It took a very mature take on relationships, heartbreak loss, grieving and moving on. AKA a little too close to the chest for me lolololol. Not quite sure if I'll read this again because it is a bit triggering emotionally, but this is really good. All that felt incredibly realistic and nuanced. The author seemed to really understand the complexities and messiness of people, which was really cool. I can totally see how this was originally a novel. As much as Yoon and taejae did feel like soulmates. I really like that they didn't end up together. It felt really realistic about how life doesn't go the way you think and things get in the way of "what if" I also like how opposite kwon was to taejae and how he really epitomizes how opposites attract. They seem to balance each other out rather than relying too heavily on each other. Also his sentiment of telling Yoon if he dies in the field. Dad, he'll be there to collect his ashes fucking killed me. Didn't realize how much I long for someone to respect my similar sense of Independence. I do think the story pontificates just a tad on profound longing and feeling complete after the closure and Kwon and Yoon ending up together. And I do kind of wish that they would show the difficulties of their relationship. But I totally get the need to show the easiness of life now that they're together. I think this is also one of the first character studies in a yaoi that actually feels pretty believable. I also love the selective use of sex scenes. If anything, it felt like a device to show a phase of the MC's relationship of being just sex friends - Loved how Yoon actually took time to heal from his relationship with taeyoo before finally coming back to Kwon - as much as I despised taeyoo and selfishness I also get it, and I wish there was a spin-off showing him finding happiness romantically
