Dark Heaven
ooooooooooooooo AFTER CHP 3: OH MY GOD I NEED MORE AFTER RAWS: OH MY GOD. STRAIGHT FROM 3 TO 5. ANOTHER FUCKING MASTERPIECE.
Insomnia(paperjeans)
This is a lot more interesting than I thought it was going to be.
The Baker on the First Floor
GAHHHHH I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THE ADORABLE UKE. PLEASE DON'T HURT MY CINNAMON ROLL BABY.
Raising a Bat
THIS. IS. ABSOLUTE. PERFECTION. ITS SO SUBTLE YET POWERFUL AND PAINFULLY REALISTIC. THE STORY, CHARACTERS, RELATIONSHIPS, AND CONCEPT ARE SO WELL DEVELOPED. YOU FEEL SO MUCH FOR THE MCS AND CANT STAND TO SEE ANYTHING BAD HAPPEN TO THIS CINNAMON ROLL COUPLE. THEIR LOVE FEELS SO GENINUE AND ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS WATCH THEIR RELATIONSHIP GROW LIKE HOW A PROUD PARENT WOULD. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO I LOVE MORE THE UKE OR SEME. I ALSO LOVE HOW THIS IS A SUPERNATURAL VAMPIRE GENRE BUT THEY ARE SO SUBTLE ABOUT AND MAINLY FOCUS ON THE DAILY LIFE OF THE CHARACTERS. FANGIRLED LOTS. ANGIRLY SCREAMED LOTS. CRIED BUCKETS. UGH JUST PERFECTION. Chapter 57: OH MY GOD IM SO PROUD OF MY SON. YOU TELL THAT DICK OFF. His apology wasn't for him but for himself. He'll never deserve his forgiveness and the uke lets him know that. FUUUUJCK YESSSSSH. Honestly the author could just end it here and I'd be completely content (I mean shit min gyeom got closure from three people in one chapter)
Window to Window
Shit Korea is currently killing it with the recent BL manhwa. Yet another interesting and hawt read. I look forward to more.
Blood Bank
I have absolutely no idea why it took me so long to read this because it's a fucking masterpiece. The story and characters are fucking next level. Like major shounen manga quality level. The characters are fantastic. It's suspenseful, heart-wrenching, sexy, funny... JUST BRAVO. side note: god the moments with Shell and Eric fucking sexy and romantic as hell. I can't
Never Understand
OH MY GOD. THIS IS PERFECT. EVERYTHING IS SO WELL-DEVELOPED. It's alittle typical asian drama hate to love type BUT STILL. THE CHARACTERS AND STORY IS SO REALISTIC. THE PERFECT CINNAMON ROLL UKE IS BAE. THE ART IS GREAT. THE SEXUAL TENSION IS AMAZING. AND THERES TONS OF SCENES THAT ARE HELLA STEAMY EVEN THOUGH THIS IS JUST SHOUNEN AI. finish: As much as I love this and the MC, I hate to say that the seme doesn't deserve the uke. The uke loved him unconditionally and the seme will never be able to return those pure feelings in any shape or form. The uke is so selfless and forgiving of fucking EVERYONE its almost idiotic. 80% satisfied with the ending. It was weird because there was like two waves of climaxes: one being about Yuri's past (which was quick but not bad) and the one where Jaerim was set up (which was FUCKING A TORNADO OF EVENTS BECAUSE SHIT THAT WAS JUST ALL OVER THE PLACE). I like that the second climax was there because it finally solidifies Yuri's trust in Jaerim but FUCK THAT WAS TOO DAMN FAST. You can definitely tell the artist took the time to develop this story and was really pressed for time by the end and crammed 20 chapters worth of plot in 5 chapters. This manhwa is so bittersweet because everyone has such a tragic past. I adore all the cinnamon roll ukes in this because they are so pure and precious (with the exception of the fucker childhood friend and the archery guy (I get his deal but still FUCK HIM)). Another issue I have (though I'm also not complaining) is the all the seme's personality change: first they bicker the fuck out with the uke, realize their feelings, and then BAM they're lovesick puppies who become way better of people than they originally were (I get people can change others but shit this was a fucking 180 personality change in like a week). The tone of this definitely wasn't like any manhwa/manga I've read but it definitely had that asian drama feel. Bully x Comic book nerd: OH MY GOD CAN YOU FUCKING NOT????? Aerak and the superficial bastard: I know the ending chapter was supposed to be like some sort of closure but honestly I feel nothing.
A Guy Like You
3.75 Lawlz he slapped him so hard he bled? It's pretty clear the author really likes to draw out those dramatic cliche scenes (ie when uke undressed, when uke got slapped). It's like as long as kissing still in kdramas. And seriously the uke's brain goes like 1 mile per year. He's so fucking slow.) The story is pretty bland and idk why the dream sequence is even in this story in the first place. Literally everything in the plot would be the same without it. All it does is make reading this confusing. Idk when a dream sequence is happening or if its reality. Butttttttt the art is good and I do quite like the exposition of the seme and uke's struggling past and how their friendship affected each other. I just never understand how in these types of stories at least one (usually the uke) always seems to forget about a past significant friend, much less forget what they looked like. CHAPTER 22: GOD THIS MANHWA IS SO FUCKING CHEESY. 2024: dropped after chapter 32. Omg this is so so bad. Everything about the story is devoid of any type of logic. It's so extra and dumb. It dials the childhood friendship mixed with trauma trope up to 11 and I hate it so much. I can't believe I vaguely liked it in the past. And that I thought the art was good because it's total trash.
At the End of the Road
GOD EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO RIGHT. A STRONG RELENTLESS UKE AND A DEVOTED STRONG SILENCE SEME. GREAT CHEMISTRY AND SEXUAL TENSION. GOOD PLOT AND CHARACTERS. I'M OBSESSIVELY FANGIRLING OVER THIS. BUT FOR REAL THE UKE IS 33333333333333333333
