Have read - need to re-read to tag (notes are: war, bondage, prisoner) So... trope? I think Mizukami created these tropes - or just accentuated them to the nth degree xD

tragedy tag for some of the stories told (actually, most all the stories end in death oAO); royal bard; slow burn; lots of death (well, crusade wars and stuff, and jealousy and revenge and... yup!) author's a bit political, but w/e; well done (not perfect) just a lil' bit too many sad tales for me even if the main story ends happily ^^;
