YES THIS, novel was great :3 oblivious uke, stoic (pining, patient, protective) seme some angsty bits mostly in second part Complete at 122 chs

A Prince Magician is poisoned to death after signing a peace treaty, only to be reborn as a slave in the enemy empire. Suddenly he encounters the prince (now Emperor) who also signed the treaty... Includes cut-throat inheritance/power struggles oAo; (like, killing off royal family members in background) have read ch33 ; Christian and Ray (who Chris knows now is Levenoad) leave and head to Strahss.

tragedy tag for some of the stories told (actually, most all the stories end in death oAO); royal bard; slow burn; lots of death (well, crusade wars and stuff, and jealousy and revenge and... yup!) author's a bit political, but w/e; well done (not perfect) just a lil' bit too many sad tales for me even if the main story ends happily ^^;
