So good. Some gore, kinda dark, but then adorable moments, too. Action, feels, whaaaa!

heir politics, reluctant prince, light romance, off-screen implied dark and Bad Things, evil king, good!hero, 4- Ch 30+ - starting the hardcore angst + some chara death ;A; (not main couple, but still ;A; ) Season 1 complete. Have read ch48.2 of Season 2 - assassination attempts, finishing up the coronation, Shin feeling that he's the king's only sin/mistake (since smitten!seme), king to the rescue, rescue success! just this part's epilogue now have read ch49 - Shin tells Wolfgang he needs a queen... yeah, don't imagine that going over well.

Confusing since it assumes you've read the novel. Still, pretty art.
