The Three Are Living a Married Life
NOTE TO SELFCHAPTER 3 - spoilers from user Mmie "- the shit Liz and George did to Lianna: They cheated on her. Poisoned her slowly so that she would die without anyone knowing. She found out by going to an independent doctor and not their family doctor. She found out George embezzled a quarter's worth of employees’ salary to bribe duke McDonnell for some government position. -her plan started with slowly making them paranoid by sending flowers to George anonymously with notes saying she knows he cheated. George is incompetent so he can't perform his job properly and kept getting yelled at by some marquise. She collected evidence that George bribed the duke and collaborated with the emperor who wanted to take down the duke. - on the 3rd or 4th death anniversary of the previous count Lianna brought George’s half-brother in and let him live in the mansion which pissed George to no end. Lianna spread rumors about George cheating on her with her twin sister. It ruins both of the cheaters’ reputations. -an oracle came down saying that the next emperor must be from the womb of a Noreen lady. The Emperor decided to marry both sisters. He knew Lianna was gonna divorce George anyways. -plot twist... Liz is not a Norden she is a daughter of a friend of count Norden who he adopted. Liz's parents were framed or something so to save her count Norden took her in as a daughter. No, the count didn't tell that fact to anyone except Liz as of the latest chapter... I think he is just asking for death at this point... -Liz is a jealous person who wanted to covet all her "sister"’s things. -as of the latest chapter George is destroyed. He is fired from his government job and put in jail for bribing the duke to get the position and embezzling money." - spoilers from user Aileen This is the whole gist of the story so far. I'll just add a few (they r talking abt the spoilers from Mmie) • George He's truly the most disgusting person I've ever seen. Count Norden only had daughters so Lianna had to take the responsibility of Hotel Norden. This was why he approached Lianna since she didn't have any brothers, so as her husband he can claim on the Hotel. She trusted George so she let him also manage it. He's a petty lowly coward. He's jealous of her and doesn't like that she's more capable than him. Even though he hates her for this, he still clings to her to solve his problems. He comes from a family of bureaucrats, who have all held office positions. After several attempts, he's not able to clear the administrative exam. So he's stuck at Hotel Norden and looks down upon both Lianna and her hotel. George's father was a famous womanizer, which made his mother die in depression. He hates his father but does the same as him. The head maid, Mrs. Beningans once asks him, "Why of all the women it has to be Lizbeth? George: "The taboo of the relationship excites me, that's why." This disgusts the maid and she wonders what happened to the master she served. For the past five years, there's been an anonymous guy sending lewd letters to several unmarried ladies. Guess who it turns out to be? Yes, George! • Lizbeth Lizbeth knows she's not the actual daughter of Count Norden. Count Norden had a very dear friend who was falsely charged with treason. To protect his daughter, the friend asks Count to take Lizbeth as his daughter to save her from the punishment. Lizbeth gets to know about it when she visits the market and meets a maid of her actual family. She realizes this is why Lianna was loved more by her parents. She has this weird obsession with taking everything away from Lianna. She took away Lianna’s crush and when Lianna got engaged to George she left that guy and moved in with Lianna. She seduced George on their honeymoon and the affair continued for 4 years. She's truly despicable. • Emperor Alexander Emperor is the ml. He's quite an upright man. He's attracted to Lianna but currently, it's just at the level of respect and admiration for her. His father too broke his mother's heart. When he learned about the prophecy, his advisor told him to marry Lianna too, so that the other prince can't use the prophecy. But he rejects it because he knew his mother's pain and knowing that Lianna also went through the same, he didn't want to put her through it again. As he wasn't sure of himself, so he didn't want to give her any empty promises. Not much is known about him till now. - spoilers abt the details in the story (from user AileeB) Now the details. This may not be in chronological order. -After catching Lizbeth and George cheat, Lianna slowly unravels all the lies and deceit. The two idiots are so careless, if it hadn't been for the servant's help, they would have been long caught. Lianna realizes everyone is involved in this and everyone's been lying to her. After their anniversary party, Lianna asks George about her gift. He hadn't even bought her one. He just tells her it's a dress he had got from somewhere far away. So it's taking time to come. But Lianna knows it's all a lie. It took weeks for the dress to come. But Lianna burns the dress down. She decides to act normal and take her revenge behind their backs. -Then she's visited by the emperor. The emperor asks her about George and hotel Norden. He gives subtle clues that George got into office by giving bribes and Hotel Norden is also involved in it. In the Esteraz kingdom, corruption and bribery are grave crimes. So when Lianna realizes that George took the hotel's funds to bribe the duke to take him into the office, she breaks down. -Lianna's revenge starts with her sending Lizbeth that perverted letter(till this point no one knows it's George) Lizbeth is so shocked and disgusted, she doesn't go out of the house. Lianna did this to marry her off since the pervert targeted unmarried ladies. She doesn't want her father to get hurt because he treasures Lizbeth. She decides to marry her off and deal with George separately. She brings up her marriage and tells her how unlikely it is that she is living in her married sister's house. George vehemently opposes it. Lianna sneers at both of them. She then starts sending George flowers with a little message- 'I know what you're hiding.' George panics and leaves for the home. But Lizbeth calms him down saying it might be a prank or the person may not know much. -Lianna starts getting dizzy a lot. But the family doctor tells her that she is okay and it's just fatigue working up. But she doesn’t believe it and goes to a local doctor under her maid Margaret's name. Later at the dining hall, Lizbeth asks her why she went to a local doctor. Lianna realizes that Lizbeth is keeping an eye on her. She tells them that Margaret was sick, so she went to accompany her. When she goes back to the doctor, she learns she is being poisoned and would die shortly. Lianna collapses after hearing this. Pitying her, the doctor tells her he does have an antidote for her and will try his best to save her. The betrayal breaks Lianna down completely. She realizes that for her to be slowly poisoned like this, all the servants must have been involved in this. Everyone is on Lizbeth's side and considers her as their master. This is quite like a slap to her face. So now she changes her plans and takes an aggressive front. She decides to not spare anyone. Lianna doesn't do much for some time to avoid suspicion. She continues to act like a perfect loving wife, visiting his office and cheering him from time to time. She also discards her plan to marry Lizbeth off since she doesn't want to destroy someone else's life. The cheating couple forgets about all this and continues with their affair. They are so shameless, going at it even in public(even in his office) There's a tax audit coming up. Lianna realizes the extent of the issue. George had embezzled a huge amount of money from the hotel's funds, which could put both Lianna and the hotel in danger during the tax audit. She asks her maid to collect evidence of George bribing the duke, which turns out to be quite easy since George's an idiot. The emperor hates the duke because of his corruption and wants to bring him down. So Lianna joins hands with the emperor to save her hotel. -There is a Marquis in George's office who doesn't like him because of the 'way' he got into the office. George got in through a special recommendation. But he is very incompetent and doesn't do his work properly, which makes the Marquis always yell at him. George hates him and doesn't understand Marquis' hatred towards him. Seeing him bad mouth him so much, Lianna gets an idea. She sends another bouquet with a message 'i know you're cheating.' George gets scared and goes back home to tell Lizbeth. He worries whether someone saw them doing it in his office. He suspects it to be the Marquis. Lizbeth sends Mrs. Beningans to investigate it. Lianna makes it seem that it was Marquis who send the bouquet. She then arranges a small party to thank George's colleagues for taking care of him. George is pleased with this and invites everyone except the Marquis. But guess what Lianna invites Marquis and this creates drama at the party. The whole mood becomes awkward and pretending to salvage the situation, Lianna takes them to tour the house. At the library, the Marquis finds a book by his father or grandfather(i don't remember sorry) and is very excited to see it. But when he opens it, he finds curses written about him and his family in George's handwriting. A livid Marquis leaves the party and tells George to get ready for the consequences. George tells everyone he didn't do it, but no one believes him, since he does pretty stupid things when he's drunk. He asks for Lianna's help and she tells him to get on his knees and apologize to the Marquis. As a noble, it is unacceptable for George but on Lizbeth's insistence, he agrees to do it. He's an idiot! Lianna knows by kneeling, he would be accepting that he did it and Marquis would only get angrier at him. Which is exactly what happens. Marquis just dismisses George off to save himself from the embarrassment. But marquis doesn't forgive him. -Then Lianna plans her next step. When George's father was dying, it was Lianna who was taking care of him. Even though she didn't like him, she just did it as a daughter-in-law's duty. This makes George hate her more and go to Lizbeth. Before dying, he tells her about his other son and lover he's been taking care of. He tells her about a necklace which will prove that the child is his son. He requests her to take care of him and then later give him his rightful part of the property. Lianna hesitated at that time because of George. But she now decides to use it against him. At the death anniversary of George's father, she holds a party and brings George's half-brother. The whole party becomes awkward and George is enraged. She tells everyone how the guilt was killing her and how yesterday George's father came into her dream and told her she disappointed him. She gives the half-brother a room next to Lizbeth's room. Lizbeth protests saying how can she let an outsider live in their house. Lianna tells her to then get out since she's also an outsider who has been living in their house for four years. The brother helps her aggravate the couple. George's hatred for Lianna increases. He and Lizbeth plan to speed up their plans to kill Lianna. Well, Lizbeth's grand plan is to kill off Lianna and take away the position of George's wife and the mistress of his house. George only agreed to this plan since his marrying Lizbeth will be more acceptable only if Lianna died. -The emperor drops a bomb saying he wants to marry Lizbeth. Lianna doesn't understand why he's doing this since he knows Lizbeth is cheating with her husband. But the emperor doesn't care and tells her he'll marry her no matter what. As a citizen of the kingdom, Lianna rejects such a queen and threatens him to not help him anymore and would help the other prince. The emperor starts seeing her as a threat but decides to just watch her for now. Lianna asks him for a period of 3 days to find out why he's doing this. Emperor agrees and tells her that he'd wait for 3 days before announcing it. -The rumors that the emperor has fallen in love with Lizbeth and will marry her leak out. Lizbeth is ecstatic as the position of the queen is much higher than a wife of Count. She ditches George. When George comes to kiss her, she avoids him and tells him to get out. Seeing her so cold George doesn't understand what happened to her. She tells him she's going to be an empress and not to see her anymore. George asks her what should he do without her and she tells him to go back to Lianna. After everything that had happened recently, George’s mind was very delicate. He has an obsession with Lizbeth and threatens her he'll tell everyone about their relationship. But Lizbeth shuts him down by threatening him to tell everyone how he was bribed to get into the office. -Lianna goes to the temple and finds out the prophecy from the priest. The priest tells her since she's already married, not to be greedy. Lianna tells the emperor she knows about the prophecy and asks him to marry her. The emperor refuses since he doesn't want to hurt her anymore but Lianna assures him he will not as her heart is already dead. Alexander is attracted to her because he reminds him of his mother. That is why he pities her. -Lianna now plays her final moves. There's a masquerade where she leaks rumors about Lizbeth and George's cheating. The gossip spreads quickly since Lizbeth is rumored to be the next queen. The cheating couple insists before Lianna that they all are vicious rumors. Lianna tells that she understands and they have to now fire all the servants to save the situation. Since it must be one of them who spread this baseless rumor. George doesn't agree but Lizbeth convinces him. Lianna fires everyone except her people. Mrs. Beningans comes to advise George against it, but George gets angry at her and chastises her for not doing her job properly. George begs Lianna not to fire his coachman. Lianna suspects this and tells her coachman to follow him. It turns out the pervert who was terrorizing poor ladies was none other than George. He started it as revenge on a lady who rejected him but the strange pleasure he felt from it made him continue. Lianna brings this up at the dining table and curses the pervert. George gets angry and his demented mind decides to do it again. He just falls right into Lianna’s trap. The coachman gets caught and the lady’s father comes and beats the shit out of him. His reputation and career are both terribly destroyed. Neither Lianna nor Lizbeth pay any attention to him. After recuperating, the idiot George thinks he hasn't done anything serious and decides to go back to his office. Both Lianna and Lizbeth advise against it. To further aggravate him, Lianna tells him to go to the countryside, which only makes George more determined. -When he reaches the office, everyone looks down upon him. His bench has been removed. Even after all this humiliation, he continues to work. Lianna revels in his misery and decides to finish him for once and for all. -After a few days, George goes to the office only to find people looking weirdly at him. He goes to the notice board where details of cheating were published. It was something like this, 'I'm a servant of (i forgot George's family name, sorry). Since I've been wrongfully fired, I want to tell everyone how he has been cheating on his wife with her sister lady Lizbeth. All the servants know about this except for the poor Countess. If you have any doubts go to (there was a jewelry shop name which I forgot, sorry again). The Count had made a peridot necklace for lady Lizbeth which she wore on his fourth anniversary.' There were several details on and since everyone who had attended the party had seen that necklace on Lizbeth's neck, everyone realized that the rumors were true. Then the palace guards came and arrested George for bribing and corruption. With the help of Alexander, the notice was spread throughout the kingdom. People gossiped about it wildly. Lizbeth shut herself in her room while Lianna continued to attend gatherings getting people's sympathy. Lianna had threatened all the servants to tell her all the details about the cheating couple's affairs. They do and one maid tells her how she heard George say Lianna was an easy and profitable prospect. She realizes he had approached her with a motive. The house and all the properties have been transferred to the half-brother. Half-brother takes a liking to her and tells them he would marry her. But Lianna dismisses him off and tells him to find a nice girl for himself. Mrs. Beningans regrets everything she's done and asks for Lianna’s forgiveness. But Lianna doesn't forgive her and leaves everything behind and moves to Hotel Norden. Now everyone hates Lizbeth. No one wants her to be the queen. Lizbeth is living with Count Norden. Alexander announces he'll marry both sisters as per the prophecy and every one sides with Lianna. Lizbeth accuses Lianna of taking everything from her but Count slaps her and tells Lianna to leave them alone. He tells Lizbeth to withdraw from the empress candidate as she's not a true Norden. Lizbeth tells him she knows and would follow his order. But before leaving for her room, she asks him who else knows about this. The Count tells her only they both know this. -A party is coming up where the empress candidate will be announced. This part is very vague. Since people addressed Lizbeth as queen candidate and Lianna as empress, I think queen here resembles that of a concubine's status. Alexander sends some palace maids to help Lianna dress up. They bring a big box of jewelry. Lianna decides to wear a dress gifted by George which was picked up by Lizbeth. She wants to rub it on Lizbeth's face. This is what has happened till now. The last updated chapter ends with Lianna and Lizbeth's confrontation where Lizbeth shrugs off Alexander's help as a charity since she's living in a hotel and wouldn't have the means to dress up properly. But Lianna slaps her back saying Hotel Norden has the kingdom's finest dressing rooms. And then Alexander interrupts them. The fact that the emperor only sent jewels to Lianna spread like fire and people sided with Lianna. I won't say that the author's style has improved much. The revenge is still childish and there are quite a lot of gaps in the story. It's chapter 93 now and there hasn't been any development between the leads. The title is quite clever honestly. Lianna is destined to be in a three people marriage. First, it was with George and now with Alexander. This story honestly will make you tear out your hair. It's that infuriating. George honestly made me want to hurl him in the deepest parts of hell.
