The evil frenemy from the past was an unnecessary and uncomfortable story twist. Like, that guy was rapey and I felt nauseous during the chapters where he's all over the main characters. The premise of dreams and soulmate finding was very endearing and worthwhile, but the creator took it to an unneeded level I think. I'm happy it concluded with a happy ending though.
