A Paramour
From what I can tell from the beginning two chapters that I read is that the main character made a pledge to protect and take care of this boy at a very young age then leave and the young boy's mother called him after 20 years to come to look after her son since she has cancer. The artwork is nice and spacious and I admire the artist for doing this character more within the range of a darker POC. The only thing that is disturbing me apart from the fact that the mother has cancer which is very sad especially when she speaks about how advanced we are with technology and medicine but still have yet to be able to help people with cancer or even find a cure; is that looking at the tags that other people put for this story is that the two characters who will soon have a very intimate relationship are actually brothers.
Unfather
This story struck me as odd as soon as I heard about the title. Without any information about what is going on in this story, I plunged into it. But once I began reading it I was left without words. A college student goes into prostitution for his college tuition only to want to quit. Later the day he stops seeing the older man his mother asks him to meet her boyfriend only to find out that her boyfriend was the older man that he was seeing for money. I find this story to be taboo but at the same time intriguing. I want to see how everything turns out with this older man, the young man, and his mother.
Hogu Hagyeongsu
This story caught me by surprise. It took a turn for the worst. I was just so shocked that something like this happened to the main character so early on. I thought this story was going to be cute considering the main character never dated before and was looking forward to dating this guy only to be set up for this guy's gang to rape him after his first time. But at the end of the story, the main character woke up out of his past memories. I still think that that is pretty messed up and dark. But overall I do see a plot that started at the very beginning.
Wolf In The House
So far with this story, I felt overwhelmed by the number of words for the first few pages. But after that, I kinda got used to it and did not matter much. Also as for the artwork; I am not the biggest fan of it. the artwork is clean and neat and none of the characters are out of portion but I think the small amounts of color that throw me off. in combination with the style of art used and the overwhelming amount of words, I feel as if I am suffocating as I read this. But since people keep hyping this story up and I keep seeing it on my dashboard I will try to breathe underwater and read this story.
Scent of a Witch
I felt as if I was reading something in my College Prep English 12th class. The English in this story had this distinctive sound as if Hamlet had written this. Personally, I do not appeal to the old English which is why It took till the end of the second chapter for me to actually get a grasp on to what I was reading. Then a little later in chapter three I had gotten lost again but not completely. Also, I think this is due to my reading some many colorful manhwas but this story was very dull to me considering the artwork. Now from my perspective from being a witch myself I find this story so far to underly that witches don't sacrifice men and that they all are not bad.
Lover Boy
The beginning of this story was actually very cute. then after the story actually kept going they kept the plot very transparent. That this man got purposed to 17 years ago when he was 11 by a 3-year-old, old to be getting married to a woman later on and after two months of his marriage he was tired of the married and bumped into the person who purposed to him 17 years back only to realize that the younger man probably still has feelings for him. Overall I feel as if the plot will be steady but the story will get very messy as they try to figure out what they are going to do. But the artwork is on the cuter side not exactly a bubbly look, but it also maintains this typical manga look due to its lack of color.
Yakusoku no Neverland
This is of course before I read the manga but I have watched the anime and it was beyond amazing so many things are learned within this series about human instincts and intelligence. Overall I would recommend watching the anime and maybe the manga. but be warned now that there is only one season out as of now
Fatal Woman
I kept reading this whole series! I did not want to put my phone down at all! It was suspenseful at all times, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The art was beautiful and very colorful and eye catching. BUT and a majorly big BUT, I absolutely hated how it ended, it was a good thing ending but some of the characters did not end up in places where majority of the audience would have been wanted them. Also some of the relationships within the story weren’t very consistent. For example the main male lead and his friend(???) after a certain chapter there was no sight of him until the last chapter where he was only mentioned. But overall it was a suspenseful story with very beautiful artwork and a decent plot.
