A novel turned manhua staged in the tumultuous ancient chinese era. Manga - 4 star / novel - 5 stars. I really feel the regret about how the manhua-ga failed to properly transfer the atmosphere of the novel to manga format. I know it's possible and it can work. I've seen it done splendidly in HHYL. That is why I was disappointed in the manga adaptation. She just missed the development of the characters and their mutual love. It was too rushed. And she made everything shallow. What made the novel a masterpiece is it's intricate plot weaving. The character and the story is well-developed. But it failed to translate in the manhua. Made it quite detached and did I said shallow? Anyway, rereading the novel to start. Still the whole manga IS LIKE A WORK OF ART. A++ for the artwork! MAN!

A Gen manga. A nice, non-smut and clean relationship story of twins who have two separate fate but forged a brotherly bond despite the difficult circumstance. full color

2016 note: This is a FINISHED manga IDK why it's not marked. Most beautiful (mindless) smut in an interesting setting, Fulfils a lot of tropes and kinks. yum. Pretty blonde commander (which turned out to be a forsaken prince) is taken as a war prisoner in a middle-eastern empire. There's monastic knights so the timeline seems to fall on the Holyland crusades(?). totally not for the morally strict and the faint hearted. rape, imprisonment

⟫ Hana no Mizo Shiru > Hana no Miyako de > Hana No Migoro Ni note: miyako de is the backstory of the first manga. The story of MC's grandfather and Professor Tsujimura from the last volume. Probably around the 40s or 50s. whenever i read this story i always say "damn this makes me so depressed". Sad ending for the couple.

Fun smutty oneshots that has plot. Actually quite good compare to pwp smutty one-shots. Ch.1 & 4.5: elementary-level love. school life, high school. Uke can only go along. Cutest of the bunch. / Ch. 2: interesting folklore. There's a similar one in my country but with a half-horse spirit instead of fox. #fox marriage. ./ Ch 3: funny 19th century clash of culture. A noble European asked for a local Japanese page. After one embarrassing moment to another, they fell unloved. ./ Chap. 4: facepalming Catholic Subplot whose glaring inaccuracy distracts me from the actual plot, gahd. Son of a nun and priest stands in for th at the confessional room. Learned of this silent classmate's dirty little secret. fun time at the confessional booth lol. Seme is so gutless and slow. ./ Ch. 5: teacher x student. In the same vein from the previous chapter, tricking the seme into sleeping with him. This time uke enlisted the help of seme's co-teacher w/c turned out to be uke's brother and conspirator.
