Honestly at this point I don't even care about the story anymore. . . . . The FL's got NO BRAIN. Like. Literally. I was frustrated during the whole chapters cuz she wouldn't speak her mind. The boy toy isn't even *that* dangerous of an antagonist. She's the empress. She has the Emperor's trust and (unacknowledged) love. There's NOTHING stopping her from kicking him out. He has no goddamn power. The only reason he's still in the palace is cuz she wants him to. Other than her no one wanted him in there until now. All the things which are gonna happen with Ryu Ban and the Holy Maiden could've been really, really easily avoided if she spoke lile she did for the Emperor a few chapters ago. And, honesrly, all that talk about "lies" was, for now, pretty useless. Yes, it made her kinda realize what she trully wanted all this time and (sorta?) her feelings for the emperor (and the country in some way?), but for the sake of what ? The story's (un)lacking romance.  Ok fine. This has a romance tag so obviously it's gonna need some more romance. But the moments are so wrongly choosen. How can she still go around, blush and go doki♡doki around the Emperor when she perfectly knows that there's some man who obviously means her, the Emperor or just the country generally speaking harm ? There's like, NO TIME FOR THAT. Get your priorities straight.  And Lord Jesus, Ryu Ban ? I'm so disappointed. All the characters are disappointing at this rate. The character development is non-existent, that talk abt lies apart. It hurts me to say so but the only probably really good characters are the boy toy and the Emperor. Maybe the Prime Minister too. That's all. The others characters are annoying and disappointing.  - For now I'll stay for the incredible art and fluffly scenes between the empress ans the emperor cuz damn, that shit cute. I ain't gonna hurt my own feelings by reading something which will make me cry in frustration and despair. When things will be settled I'll probably read this one more time. If it doesn't ger better then I guess I'll just drop this

Really liked it at first, but it's gotten quite repetitive and boring now. The Love Interests are so plain that I was SURE they weren't the actual LIs. But they are. Their faces are plain, their personnalities are basic. The art is great but not great enough to keep me reading this. Hopefully it'll get better in the future, even though I'm probably dropping. - Dropped chap 23.
