I'm really loving this manhwa. I feel bad for the MC because of what she underwent back in her original life in South Korea. It's something that many people can relate to. I also feel bad for the original Chloe. She didn't deserve to be treated as she was, neither by the noble society nor in the Duchy. I'm really loving this manhwa. So that's maybe why a comment really stayed on my mind since I started reading. It had a negative outlook as to why a low-esteemed worker who transmigrated into Duchess Chloe would know the noble etiquette and mannerisms. Well, it's simple as in the manhwa itself it's already revealed that she has the original Chloe's memories. Although the original Chloe had learned all the proper etiquettes etc, she was too meek and timid to display what she learned because of the way she was bullied in the noble society. The already meek Chloe became even more isolated within and as a result, she became like what we witness in the first few chapters. As such, although a low-esteemed worker transmigrated into her body, she was slightly different from the original Chloe and having experienced a transmigration, I guess she desires to start anew in her current life. It may also be because she knows that there's no way for her to return back to her life in Korea. What also stuck me next was the odd perspective on the new (transmigrated Park Ha-Jung) Chloe's tea passion. In the manhwa, transmigrated Chloe's tea never failed to amaze the people in this new world. In fact, the manhwa clearly said that in this world, tea is regarded as a barbarian product. It's looked down upon. The culture here is Coffee. Therefore, it's not that she might have put drugs or brainwashing serum in the tea she served those people around, be it to the maids, knights or the Butler. She just prepared the tea as per her previous life's knowledge and according to how it must be prepared. For these people who in this world have never tasted tea, or has not prepared it accordingly before and had a bad experience consequently or who have a very negative/distorted opinion towards tea, it was a novelty, a completely different experience since the tea which they were negatively opinionated about tasted different. Rather the tea was good, delicious and with the plethora of variety and different preparation methods, they discovered that the tea they disregarded as barbaric is not so. It can taste good, if not great, when prepared accordingly. This is why the new Chloe's knowledge, talent and passion amazed the people in this world, because their culture favoured Coffee and disregarded tea as a barbarian product. But I'll second the fact that yes, the Butler Cale is kind of a scum. I also can't believe that he stood by watching as the maids etc disregarded the Duchess, mistreated and harassed her. I don't like how he was considered a good guy just because he didn't take part in the bullying. I mean, duh! He knew about the bad happenings yet he stood by idle. How in the world dare he think that because the original Chloe didn't stand up for herself when she was being bullied, harassed and mistreated, that it was her fault and such made her unworthy of his respect ?! I mean, what the f----! She is the Duchess for God's sake. Respect her as your superior. At least, he should respect her as the Duchess accordingly even if deep down he doesn't. I keep wondering, had this scummy butler stepped in and displayed respect, even if fake, to the original Chloe as the Duchess, maybe the bishy head maid, other maids and servants wouldn't have disregarded the original Chloe as they had ..(?). Even the ML is kind of bad. In his case, they married for political reasons and he simply never bothered about the original Chloe. Till where I've reached in my reading so far (Ch 33), it is not mentioned or said if he was in the know like the scummy butler and idmf he also just ignored it all. But it is true that before he tasted her prepared tea and starts to mingle with the new Chloe over tea sessions, he was rather dismissive of her and regarded things related to her as trivial and not of his concern/business. Anyways, I'm really loving this manhwa. Can't wait to read further. For those who want to read, please read it. I totally recommend it. If it suits your taste or if it's as per your preferences, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. So don't get influenced by others' comments before giving it a try and reading it yourself. Give it a try. If it doesn't suit your taste or preferences, it's cool. I'm sure there are many other mangas that'll be right up your alley. EDIT: I just completed the manhwa at Ch 143. It was such a good read. To think I was able to binge-read it in three days, yay! Once again, I recommend anyone interested to read this manhwa. I personally had great fun and unlike other times where I often get bored and impatient and skip some chapters, this manhwa had me hooked in from Ch 1 to Ch 143. I read it all without skipping any chapter. Hope others enjoy it too
