Maybe some people interpreted the female lead's actions as dumb, unrealistic, or like one of those annoying FL girls - however I think it makes sense that she acted irrational. For what she can remember, she's been abused and whipped for 4 years. She's been starved. She has no family, has no friends, has no memory of anything. She couldn't even speak the language of the empire when she first came to consciousness. How utterly alone and dark that world must have been for her especially for someone whose a teen. Now in that world, the Baron guy (second lead/young master) was her only companion, only source of friendship and light. And even that was very little if you think about how much time the two can actually spend together and seeing how she still was abused. My point is - he is literally literally the only person in her world that has been kind to her at least to her current memory. And now you see that person abused and hurt, chained, and possibly going to die. This is a man who executed the guards, how worse would the son of a family known to abuse and starve the emperor's girl be. The female lead knows this. She knows this perfectly which leads to her irrational behavior. She's desperate. Absolutely desperate. Yea she's letting in something dangerous, she knows the emperor is dangerous and keeps pushing him because that's the only thing she can wager. That's the only thing she can offer and possibly get the young master out of there. She has nothing else. The emperor wouldn't even meet her prior to this which by the way she DID try to meet him before.
So to some - they may think she's stupid for doing something that was dangerous when the emperor told her not and that he is restraining himself. But to her that was her only option. What else could she do to save the one person who cared about her? Maybe she could have been smarter. Maybe there was a better way. But I think she acted really human. I would do the same if someone i held precious and dear was in that situation and could die. I wouldn't be like "oh well let's come back to this at a better time" I would act really desperate even knowing how much harm it would come to myself.
That being said. I'm defending her for this situation. And I think she's been a fine FL up to this point. Now if the author makes her be irrational and emotionally haywired in situations that don't call for it then yeah - she's giong to be an annoying FL. But for now. This is my viewpoint.
and to add - because some of y'all are complaining she's crying. Like someone is literally stabbing into your skin and drawing a lot of blood - yeah not painful at all.
additionally - for some of you wondering why the second lead is trying to get her to come back home where its abusive. He most likely doesn't fully know everything. He doesn't seem to understand why his mother told the servant to whip FL or the fact that his mother is in prison with him. Yeah is that stupid? Yea i do think he should have a better idea of whats happening in his household. however, withthat being said - since he doesn't thats why he wants to bring Tia home and additionally at least he can do something to protect her though he hasn't been doing the greatest job. again maybe its ignorance or stupidty. But being at home with him seems like a much better idea in HIS perspective since there are so many rumors going around about the emperor ripping people's eyeballs out.
the only thing that bothers me is how the hell second lead guy opened his cell. Fine breaking your arm to get the chains off - ill let that pass. but the cell door !? that's the thing that catches me.
