It was so short yet so beautiful. Though it would have been amazing for him to have been released from prison I think his death sentence being carried out was for the best. It held so much more meaning. The fact that neither of the protagonists could run away from their past; the fact that they both had trauma from different circumstances; the fact that they were both on the edge of a cliff, at the pinnacle of hopelessness, and yet somehow found their way back is what makes this short story so beautiful. Yes he died and it hurt, he left Juri with a new life, he opened her eyes and she opened his heart. He was a good memory, a good turning point.
