Ch. 19 Caved and read spoilers before catching up and now my motivation to read this is gone whoops. Tbf it's pretty good where I left off. I really like the MCs attitude, maybe cuz it's relatable (the ignorance is bliss and go with the flow mentality, even if it's stems from abuse and trauma). Also like their interactions, though spoilers have soured my impression of it i still like how natural the banter and dialogue is between the couple. Also this is the third work of this author I've read and I've realised i really like all this author's mc/ukes, like their inner dialogue and train of thought is very relatable and reasonable, which makes it believable and satisfying (idk how else to describe it lol). Point is i like how all their mcs are written. Also, spoiler but their past life is kinda like premise in "How to get my husband on my side" (the arranged marriage between competing factions, the cold husband, abused behind doors mc, mc getting sa-ed by an older brother (though one is her own and in this its the husbands)) and that's literally an angst fest which i couldn't handle which is why I'm scared of this too. Apparently the seme abused him in their past life and i just can't wrap my head around it. I'll wait and see cuz i can possibly imagine how that's gonna be justified.

Ch. 47 Honestly i find it very compelling and interesting. Ppl be tall about bad translations but i read through it all without an issue? Was going to wait for official translation on batoto but couldn't wait lol. It's ain't even bad tbh. Also avoided cuza the rating (8.7 rn) but honestly not deserved, i bet ppl just don't like that they're both toxic but I'd say that makes it better. Or it could just be because of the (allegedly) bad translations, idk. Also, the best part is the kid. She's so cute love her. -
The Ayakashi Hunter's Tainted Bride
Ch. 13.1 It's good. But ngl, if you've seen one of these villains, you've seen them all. The villains in this story are so one dimensional and straight up evil (honestly though they are more horror than anything /hj) it is for one raising my blood pressure and two very repetitive, considering I've read many other similar plotlines. Not saying this is bad or anything, I actually like the development of the mc and the fact that the ml seems like an actual human and not another cold duke of the north type shit, but I'm just not in the mood for this rn. - Premise is basically Shiawase na kekkon — girl gets tainted by ayakashi due to scheme by her (very evil) cousin who steals her fiance. She's abused everyday by everyone until ml swoops in and takes her as his bride. Things happen and they fall in love.

Ch. 5 end Interested to see where this goes. I usually don't like cheating/adultery stories but somehow this one toes the line of being acceptable since the sister was forewarned and still married him cuz she delusional. The brother did nothing wrong but the BIL... We'll have to see ig. . Well that was short lived. Was hoping for more. Anyways this was pretty twisted maybe it's for the better it was short. - Dude fucks his ex/ex brother in law.
Macguffin
Idrk know what to rate this tbh. Like some parts made me frustrated cuz they're all flawed characters (except the child he did no wrong and is so precious i can't) especially the mcs, like neither of them are solely at fault imo, and like they said they just made (detrimental) mistakes. Objectively, it was a good story, the development was interesting and it didn't drag. But as with all these crematorium stories, even after they reconcile i still feel unsatisfied. Though tbf i don't think they could've done much differently to make me feel otherwise other than change the entire story. I'm just petty, really. Just know that it was good, and the only thing stopping me from rating it is because none of the rating will do my thoughts on this justice. Four stars is too little and may look like it's lacking when it's actually pretty good. But five is too many as i don't think I'll be rereading this (unless I'm in a masochistic mood idk). So yeah. And as others have already touched on, the way they dealt with the MC's mental health was really good (lacking vocab but yk what i mean). I enjoyed his internal monologues and his rationales (even though they're not exactly rational most of the time). It was just intriguing to see how someone in his position thinks ig. Also i thought about it but ig I'm still not over how the conflict would've been solvable with proper communication, but snowballed into such a big issue that it became detrimental to all their lives and affected them so drastically. Feel especially bad for the child since he had to suffer without a proper family. (Also kinda fucked up how ml kicked the nanny out like while i get it i really thought the child would've been resentful and traumatised, they're lucky he's not) Also the one part that actually made me tear up and feel things was when the uke regretted his actions after meeting the child, lamenting the fact he never got to see him grow up. Like, that hurt. Good angst tho. - Dude with amnesia due to trauma gets brought out of the mental hospital by a man.
