Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
The anime doesn't do justice to the development of the characters specially Sata Anime sata is just huge fucking asshole that only shows "affection" when Erika decides to leave him, like when he gave her presents. Manga Sata while he is still a little bitch he shows he cares and likes Erika and its not just to pass time, while he did do all that horrible shit at the beginning like in the anime what we dont see are in the in-between chapters where he shows his feelings towards her. He not only buys her stuff but he actually communicates when he knows he has to or it will end up hurting them, Sata in the end felt like a complete different character than the one in the anime. If the anime had animated those chapters I wonder if ppl would still hate him as much as they do, Sata can be mean but never really cruel (except in that ch where he got splashed totally deserved) specially to Erika even later on he hates seeing her sad and always tries to keep her smiling and happy. Erika in the anime is shown as a submissive girl with no brains only thinking of fairy tale like love leading her to chase after a toxic boy only bc hes is hot and while manga Erika does wish for a love like that she still values herself eventually even standing up for herself and deciding to leave Sata definitely (obv sata never allows that and they end up talking it out) but this is what the anime took away. Erika is such a likable FL, compared to a lot of shojos making the FL air headed, dumb, shy, pushy, way too stundere. Her level of dere is just enough to be funny, cute and even tho it can be cringe worthy its not unappealing. edit- I reread this and OMG i hate the cousin so much shes the worst type of person ew This is a very solid shojo
