painful. 12.30.20 i believe i started tis story a long time ago, then left off or something. from comment: This hurts in a bittersweet way. They're happy, but there could have been another ending that would be just as happy if not more, possibly... Ofc, it was pretty much destined to be "sad"-er story. Ignoring the little stepbro's possessiveness and the effect of pheromones, everyone is a good person. We want everyone to be happy but that can't happen as there isn't a clear "bad" one between the stepbro and the childhood friend. Plus the fated pairs thing? Ouch... It hurts that they can't be together, but then again, most fated pairs never meet, and the coffeeshop owner omega seems like he'll take care of him. I think it resembles real life in how it's not perfect. Relationships are messy like this, and so is life. I hope the two couples will be happy! Perhaps the fated pair can never become just friends, but their happiness with their partners will override that. I'm blabbering because this was an unsatisfying read but really thought provoking.
