Raising a Bat
This main character is somehow so relatable. Rather than have him act as a do good protagonist, the author made sure he makes mistakes and is betrayed just like the rest of us. I really enjoyed the “psychological” part of this manga- specifically the main characters introspection on all his relationships. (Spoiler) Like when he realized that his was actually helping out the Seme because it gave him a sense of superiority, so when he found out that the seme’s family was perfect, he felt ashamed, jealous , and betrayed. Also the whole part where his friend was using him as a replacement for that girl. It was so unexpected, but I loved it!
I am a child of this house
Omg when Estelle DECIMATED that stereotypical mean girl, I almost died of shock and pride.
Hosik's story
This started off as just a cute, kinda silly mpreg story, but the last few chapters got REAL. I actually really like how to author hinted at future relationship problems in the beginning, let us sail into married life, and then started to deal with the reality of being married - having a possessive partner, going back to school after having a kid...I also love Jiwon the best friend.
Penthouse XXX
Great story, the art style grew on me. ...did Tae purposefully room with him?
Komatta Toki Ni Wa Hoshi Ni Kike!
One of my all time favorites. I love the artwork and character growth. Been reading it since manga fox/box manga days (early 2000s). Need to reread bc it ended
Only the Ring Finger Knows
Bokura no Shokutaku
This manga was a perfect mix of fluff, hope, and grief (without overwhelming the sweet plot). The ending was wonderful, I wish we got to see the couple spend some more time by themselves, but tans is so cute. The artwork was so good! Especially how subtle the emotions were on Mirouno’s face in the first few chapters. It was so clear to me that he was already in love with Yutaka, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Dad was also a wonderful character! . . . I cried so much when Yutaka asks otousan about how he overcame the loss of his wife and the dad says that he didn’t, rather the pain is proof that he loves his wife so he is happy to experience it. so beautiful and sad! I didn’t expect the story line to get so deep! What make me really admire Yutaka (who honestly can be seen as a weak character somet8mea) is that hearing the dad’s advice made him decide to hold onto what he has now and move in with the family. I was so proud!
