I love the enigmas presented in this work!! It's so fun because the author creates a credible excuse for all these circumstances to be presented to the protagonist and it's so interesting to see how each mystery is solved. The characters are well written and well rounded, the male lead is so easy to read when it comes to his feelings for Mao and yet still mysterious enough to keep it interesting. The female lead is so good!! She's smart and cunning, I love her weird and over-the-top love for poisons. Really a good read.
