Wow, I knew this author was good but damn.... They are incredible at conveying emotions. The feeling of wanting to stay in the same day, without ever seeing tomorrow, is something I can relate to so it hit hard. I actually cried while reading the last chapter!! This is really good and moving, in my opinion
Glen (글렌)
I usually like dark characters and stuff but this one was handled really badly. Glen sent Joseph a package with fucked up stuff to scare him and have him leaving in his house and Joseph just... Forgives him for that?? It irks me bc it could've been simply Glen exploiting his situation with the stalker for his own advantage without taking part in it but NO, the author felt the need to make Glen just do that ugh. Also, as other readers pointed out... What happened with Vincent his character was thrown out of the window and turned out to be unnecessary to the story, which was a pity bc he was the only one who made sense. This has nice art but it's just kind of a wreck. It's a pity bc I really liked it up to one point.
The Sound of Sugar Cubes
This was so DAMN good. It has a major flaw, which made me debate whether to give it 5 stars or not, but I liked Weon and Hanyul too much. So the major flaw is: how the fuck can Hanyul face Harold so easily. I think Harold really got off too easily, not even from like "not getting in prison" kind of thing (which is realistic if his family is powerful) but in the way everyone seems to forget he TORTURED and MURDERED someone?? Sure Dolph is revealed not to be dead but Hanyul didn't know and still went on a FUCKING DATE with him!!! I can't accept that. I could rationalise it by saying "Hanyul still can't believe Harold actually did that" but if it doesn't really fit with how Hanyul behaves and if this was the case, then the author should've spent like... 1 page on it or at least one speech bubble??? But nah. Apart from that, the story has basically everything I love. A thriller in the background, moral grey character, a developing relationship that feels good to read. I loved so much the part when Weon thinks about all the plans he had to force Hanyul to be his and how pathetic he found himself to be when he was unable to go through with them. It's the first time that I see this kind to approach from a 'dark and possessive' kind of character and I think it's what makes him actually likable instead of turning him into a caricature. And the way Hanyul comes to care for him... I loved the whole "I don't love you because I need you" part, it was amazing. I also liked the ending a lot. I liked that Hanyul didn't end up being a vocalist for the band, bc it feels more realistic if not all the pieces of the puzzle fit together in the end. I liked the members of the band and I loved seeing them interact with Hanyul and each other. Hanyul and Weon's relationship is just good. There's tension and cuteness, plus the first time Weon blushes... Soooo good. And I loved that Hanyul was always able to surprise him, either by being blunt or very bold. A lovely dynamic. I just really enjoyed this. If there was a physical copy, I would love to buy one for myself.
Hello, I'm Your Stalker
Hotel Phryne
This is honestly the best psychological thriller I've read in recent years. Holy fuck. The author did such a SPLENDID job. They started off with doyoung already in love with hyunjin but they kept it strictly to his pov so when the clones got in we had no idea how the real hyunjin was. We always saw him through doyoung rose-tinted lenses, so we had no ground to know who was the real one. Every personality is crafted with such care and skill that it really felt like following 10+ characters and it was done so beautifully. I really can't put into words how much I liked. The plot twists... Fuck they were done so well. I literally screamed at some of them. And the emotional parts hit so deep... Hyunjin seeing his own flaws and wishing to get rid of them is so realistic. As I started reading this, I was afraid the ending would disappoint me. I though that there could be no way to resolve the game with a satisfying ending. And yet I was proved wrong! The epilogue is beautiful and I really enjoyed it toy fullest.
Yorimichi (KAZUKI Rai)
What's your name?
Untouchable
This looks good for now, especially since the both characters are strong in their own way (neither of them has a "bottom" personality)
Not for the Faint of Heart
