Love the sci-fi plot. Love how the half animals are actually half animals and not "just a dude with cat ears". I love how the animals chosen are peculiar too!!! Chameleons and hyenas and elephants and crocodiles... Love the variety. The characters are well-rounded and interesting. The discrepancy between what Helm thinks of his brother vs what his brother thinks of him is really interesting. Lyka is a cutie pie, I love his mom too. The reveal about outsiders not being humans...soooo interesting
