It has some interesting ideas, but the continuous rape is off putting Not someone in the comment saying the seme is "honest and righteous" ☠️ you can say he's cunning, that he has a very specific goal and he knows exactly what to do to get it but RIGHTEOUS???? Ppl just use words randomly you can like a character without stripping him of every complexity lmaoooo I can see the appeal this work can have. Since it's historical and enemies to lovers I expected to like it as well, especially since I can easily digest some rape and other unsavoury aspects but... The rape is just so unnecessary here. The seme takes in the servant and every time he rapes him isn't in a fit of rage or as a way to exert his power over him, it's just... Because there a warm body he owns. The uke's character is well built, not helpless despite the situation, intelligent and interesting to follow. There's just nothing that can make me see him forgiving the seme, not even for his possible role in his family's downfall but for the way he's treating him right now. Either the uke turns into a weak-willed simp overnight or they never actually get together

The story is decent and some character are interesting but the continuous rape of the uke is unnecessary and off-putting. It's just to hurt him and make him miserable and it gets very, very tiring

This has both evocative, beautiful art and a compelling storyline. The character of Paljae is intriguing and I love how he grows to understand human emotions bit by bit. Muryeong appears as a patient and wise taoist but we see now in his dreams that he has a complicate, painful history. I love this kind of dynamic where one character's kindness warrants the other's intense loyalty and protectiveness, plus the worldbuilding is interesting. Love this one At chap. 66 we are starting to see hints of the true nature of Paljae and damn, I can't wait to know more. Chap. 94 and this continues to be a very interesting read. I desperately want to know more details about Eyeing and why he's hunted by so many people. Paljae is becoming more and more human, terribly protective of Ryeong but unable to protect him when it really matters. I love this.

At chap.40 and it's so nice to see Satoko happy after a lifetime of being shut in a house. Shinpei's backstory right after didn't surprise me, I hope Satoko can teach him to be happier. The whole "planning their house and future" sounds like a big fat death flag Chap.46 I KNEW SOMETHING BAD WAS GONNA HAPPEN sob Chap. 53 uweeee uweeee HE CAME TO RESCUE HER... shit is gonna hit the fan
