i first read this one ages ago when it was originally being uploaded. safe to say its still one of my favorites. i love it sm. the main pairing is super cute together, the art is stunning, and the plot is plotting. its very unique for a bl. i wld kill for a side story of ibeom and jungoh’s relationship later on in life.

its silly and different. the plot is a little confusing sometimes, but its a great story with cute pairings. i wish we got more of the main couple before it switched to the side couple though. demon/angel business

an og for yaoi nation. servant x master, where the master is a supernatural being who went through something traumatic, and the servant helps him let down his walls. this one is plot heavy, which is a breath of fresh air. there are a number of plot holes and the story never actually has a proper conclusion. it does, but it doesn’t. the villain gets away and is never found, his organization isn’t demolished. we never discover an antidote despite that being a large cause of conflict. the ending felt a bit empty due to that. the characters got proper endings and were wrapped up with a neat, little bow however. for the characters themselves, i do find the ml infuriating. his relationship with mc starts off with rape.. and a whole lot of it. everyone with power knows it’s going on, but only one character, another servant, reaches out to mc about it. i found that frustrating. to me, it’s just another point where the consistency of the story fails where characters described as just, don’t care about a morally reprehensible act. their power dynamic also gives me the ick, but yaoi tends to do that sometimes. the ml, as an adult, saved the mc when he was very young. the mc longed for the ml ever since, then met him again when he was hired as a servant. its later discovered it goes a lot deeper than that, and he was groomed to win over the ml. i do find it a bit odd, especially since that dynamic heavily contributes to why the mc stuck around after being raped, but it is what it is. overall, i think its worth reading. it has its downfalls, but its an interesting story with a lot of character building and individuality. you grow quite attached to some of them.
