Great poignancy in this story about an amish boy who goes out for his "time to be free" in the amish way of life, before taking his vows, and meets a prostitute who is ironically the only one kind enough in this city of supposed "good folks " to help this absolutely clueless amish boy live while he lives out his time to learn anything beyond farming. Even though it might seem like "attaches to the first thing", it's not, and I think Oz ends up changing more than the amish man theo. Light in darkness
