Maha's manga / #historical asia(42)

I have huge beef with this ML. I greatly dislike his manipulative personality that controls and (in my opinion) abuses the FL. He burns down her house, takes advantage of her situation, then forces her out, and continuously uses her. The FL isn’t any better though really. She’s written as a typical op character that’s able to fight but her a naive personality. Both characters don’t have a lot of character growth and I feel a lack of depth to them as people in general. The story is okay. Nothing new or fresh but written out decently. But that’s just it, I have really nothing to say about the story/plot itself which to me says that it lacks multiple things in terms of story progression and the actual meat of the matter.

This story was beautiful and I regret not reading it sooner. The two main characters and the world were amazingly written and thought out with a unique twist on a a few overused troupes/cliches. Though I did really like the ending of this story, it left many questions open. Another thing to be wary of is that with this open questions, leaves a lot to be desired out of this story. I feel the author could’ve easily continued this for another season or two to expand and explain a few things without it feeling too long. Honestly without some more story it feels rushed(?) or a bit empty(?) then main conflict was resolved but many of the smaller plots and characters didn’t seem to find a closing.

This read is all over the place. It jumps from plot point to plot point without much flow. There’s little semblance of logic to the events throughout the chapters. It feels as if the dialogs are choppy, though that might be a translation/language barrier. The art style itself is okay, there’s little to nothing praise worthy in the storyline itself.
