Hate Mate

Complete | RECK | 2016 released

A little sad and bitter happy ending Comment that sums it well: This is DEFINITELY worth reading if you enjoy realistic BL stories! It's not the most enjoyable comic I've read, in terms of entertainment, since I didn't particularly like most of the characters and found the story a little bit boring at times--but this is by far THE most realistic BL I've ever read because of those very characters. These are REAL dudes. They behave like average real-life 20-something dudes, talk like the average real-life 20-something dudes--they're crude, loud, pretty annoying, horny, foul-mouthed and just like real people--they're not all that angelic. They lie, slither their way out of uncomfortable situations, they're selfish, they act before thinking and they mess up their lives. (And like real people they also have good sides.) I can' even begin to say how much I loved the way the manhwaga depicted these guys and their lives. THIS is a true slice-of-life / coming-of-age story, that relatable to just about anyone who's old enough to have gone through those messy stages of life. when becoming an adult. And just as previous commenters said; the ending is great. It definitely won't satisfy every type of romance-fan, but perhaps the end was the most realistic of all. So overall--even if I didn't LOVE it, I think it's an essential read for anyone who wants more from their BL than the average early-teen-catering.
