Even though he was a piece of trash… the husband was somewhat geting better but she deserves SO much better than his bare minimum. Also he seems to always revert to his old angry lashing out ways. Ugh… She did love him, they did love each other, but so did yato. Yato pined over her since forever, and so it was a happy ending a way. If she had returned to the palace, she would likely still be a target - her blood and all that, politics. Its just more headache. She deserved to have peace, the palace was not that. She couldn’t have fulfilled the role of empress. Perhaps concubine. Also would yato have been around hovering still? Nah if hed died then … :,( how sad… anyhow he did get a happy ending! Although he still struggles with hjs hunger… Also when soru regained her sight, and was so powerful, “Begone.” WOO damn i want see her powerful and confident and self assured. After seeing her struggle so much. It would have been so fulfilling to see. Also the dynamic btn yato and soru is so much happier and less toxic than ja hyun. I just hope shes happy. She did love ja hyun. But does she also love yato? Im sure she can find happiness in the small things as usual, but in another world where she would have been brought to train as a master exorcist… and powerful… this is a tale of tragedy indeed. Her life was a tragedy.
