Winny's manga / #had more potential(40)

it was alright, felt like it had a lot more potential. or maybe i just wish it were longer so that this world could've really been explored just a little bit more, perhaps like 12 chapters at least. What did rub me the wrong way was that the God of Death (Caleb) saw Eiji grow up...that just doesn't sit right with me. A lot of it feels pretty dubious at best. Maybe it was the pacing (only being 6 chapters, there's not enough time to develop and establish relationships all that well). In other news, LOVED CALEB'S DESIGN THO PHEWWW. Ummmm it was alright & pretty fun but as someone else also pointed out, the romanticization of human trafficking (orphans at that too) is soooo unnecessary. I suppose it presents the main couple in a less dubious manner to have that sort of an established exposition. I will say, I do love the main characters tho. Rating: 6.5/10 (slightly) above average; 7 chapters in total

Although consensual....felt a bit dubious at best nonetheless. It's probably due to their lack of communication really, pissed me off. I liked their reunion tho & I AM a sucker for old friends to lovers so it was a fun read. Rating: 6/10 Average; 6 chapters in total

29 x 21 y.o. It was an alright read. I think the relationship development could've been a little more fleshed out. It felt abruptly fast. Dgmw I like clear communication instead of beating around the bush but I suppose it made sense for the characters. Rating: 6.5/10 (slightly) above average; 10 chapters in total

Teacher x Student as he graduates high school. Student falls for the teacher and confesses to him. The teacher rejects him (bc it's immoral) at first. They end up getting together after he graduates. The student is the top so that balances things out a little. The teacher looked young but I'm unsure just how big of an age gap they had because I don't think it was canonically discussed. LOVE THE ART + cute af stray cat (the teacher takes him in bc it has the same vibe as the student) is featured!!! Rating: 7 just a little above average; 10 chapters in total

Yeah definitely not for me. It was just sooooooo exploitative?? like I get that they both like him (& he's gonna choose in the end??) but until then, they literally just paid him to be in this club and sexually assault him like that....? how do you do that kind of stuff to someone you like, plus he's low-income too and has to work multiple jobs to be able to afford his (frugal) lifestyle. these rich pompous kids paid him to just be doing things to him in the name of experimenting like??? the title had such good potential?? but it wasn't at all like how I envisioned it so that might be on me but goddamn????? Rating: would give it a negative. just gonna give it a 0/10; 7 chapters in total.

I just... some of them were well-developed but even the last one (as everyone seems to like that one esp.) I wasn't a fan of. The one with the brother-in-law felt like it had the most potential for me from how memorable it was. I really liked that one me thinks. A few had potential actually but yeah, I really need a few chapters of each story to really appreciate them better. Rating: 5/10 neutral; 8 chapters/separate one-shots
