I really enjoyed rereading this story! Though there are some things that I overlooked at first when I first read this as a middle schooler (e.g. Yui's constant violent acts, mother's blatant homophobia), reading this years later pulled me into a whirlwind of emotions, with nostalgia being one of the big ones. Honestly Kousuke was my choice for Kei as a kid (still stand by this since he IS the standard imo), but the relationship development between Kei and Yui is truly beautiful to witness in the last few chapters. Merry's conversation with Kei about self-discovery encapsulates this story. I only hope for good things for Kei-chan and her growing number of precious friends! I wish for more content about this from the mangaka (a girl can dream), such as seeing them finish their first year or even a time-skip where they are all adults. Either way, beautiful story once again and highly recommend to read not just once, not twice, but multiple times!
